because all these idm snobs (who listened to "alternative rock" a year ago) miss the references (musique concrete, early 80s video games, timbaland, indie rock, etc.)

after reading that manifesto of his, i do think he is pretty snobby, and an essay about how he rules is kind of unnessasary
he does rule, and everyone knows it... so the essay was like, just proving hes inlove with himself
but whatever
i love his music, i love DYKS?
thats all that matters

"Think your hard? Your made of jelly mate, squarepushers you fucking daddy." - squarepusher
Its a good album.... but
Hmmmm..... I dont know.... these lyrics and interludes like this, sound like a challenge to all the breakcore music makers out there...... his whole album sounds like one big, hey I make this music, and you all cant, or wish you could to be just like me, I think he is calling for people to come out and battle him, like early hip hop days ......
I think it breakcore hasnt even reached its peak yet, and there are millions of things that can be done with it. People can make breakcore and not mimic or clones of people like aphex, squarepusher...., it can be done. I know this.... So I say....
I am hard SQUAREPUSHER! YOU HEAR ME!!!!!! I cant wait till I get signed somewhere so I can mock your elietist attitude, push some buttons and stir things up a bit. I am up for the challenge!
he he he.......
*rubs hands together, comtemplating the future*

Zeus, you take everything so darn literally.... Squarepusher is just fuckin' wit' ya...or is he?... or both?... or neither?... hmm...
unless of course, you are just using subtle sarcasm, irony, hyperbole, satire, b.s.'in yourself and only those of a very high intellect can detect it, which i guess is possible...

well...just think almost every song sounding like Metteng Excuske v1.2 and beginning sounds of The Exploding Psychology....TERRIBLY BORING!!!! Do yourself a favor and don't buy it.
Even the first song 'Do you know squarepusher' is HARDLY the hard Greenway's or Go Spastic of Go Plastic...its aweful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
F train is a mind warper...crazy sounds...no Drill n bass whatsoever!! just sounds that sound weird...with him rapping.
Kill Robok is not drill either but 3 min of sound effects. yawn.
Anstromm Feck-4 is some russian tune / tetris level tune drill n bass track... okay for now...
Conc 2 Symmetriac is another min. and a half of sounds.....SUPER YAAAWNN..
Mutilation Colony....TEN FREAKING MIN OF NOISES JUST LIKE THE OTHER ONES!!! TALK ABOUT FALLING ASLEEP!!!!!!!!
then after that Love will tear you apart comes on with is drudery singing.
forget this album..im hard on this album and you know. sp is FAR more capable of doing something better than this. he soooo cool...and this album does not do him justice!

I've been disapointed by BOC, Tom, and AE... goddammit Richard, don't let me down with your next one. PLEASE don't be compelled to be as avant garde as possible just to match these Tom and AE.

ae have let you down? are you serious? gg kicks everyone's butt! its well hard..but not as good as Confield...but thats only cause its an EP. their next LP will surely plunge us all in awe.
im scared they'll further their generative peices though. i mean its okay for their live stuff and an ep or two..but don't bring that into your main artwork. i hope they do more creative stuff like confield

Sean and Rob should just sit down with a couple of acoustic guitars and write some more personal, introspective songs. That's the direction I see them going in after Gantz Graf. We'll see.
