I've heard one of them in an interview pronounce it
"aw-teck-eh", I guess if you're American like me you can
pronounce it "Aw-tech-er"

I thought it better described phonetically the way
ecnadniarb and I (and Darren Oronofsky) pronounce it.

Actually, lol, I would say myrrh as mer as in mersey without
the sey, so you are spot on...I never thought about it when
I typed the other stuff.

Northerners talking about the Mersey? Whatever next ;)

I suppose it does sound like "er", but with a softer "e".
Like a slur from the "h" to the "r"

Some people say "plad" like plaid fabric. I'm not sure how
how to pronounce the band name. A bit like "played", but
"plaied" I suppose (harder sound than the "Y" in plaid).

I used to say aw-tek-shur like architecture, ya know? cuz
it's like sound architecture. I used do reh instead of shur
now.
but who cares.
say o-tesh-ray if you want.
I always always always though plaid is pronouced like a
plaid shirt, ya know?
I never understood the confusion there.
