recording some tracks slowed way down tonihgt (from premium
vinyl) so ill be posting them so yall can hear some of the
missed sounds that really make these tracks great
.

...not going to be doing too much to them in terms of
editing or playing with settings, just a str8 cut slowed way
down.

...sometimes i swear this album was meant to be played at
33/pitched down.

umph.

anyone who records off vinyl have any input?

how much noise? perhaps you just need to spray the vinyl
with a can of air, or get a better needle.

You're hearing the semen Richard personally sprayed on each
and every one of your records (audible only at 33rpm)

i dunno, depends how many beers i got left.

i was always planning on doing the whole album for myself
(and burning it) just because it's so beautiful slowed way
down (i've been saying this for too long, but finally hooked
the shit up to my pc)

but i think i got a long way to go to get rid of the noise
to get uuber clean copies.

think i better borrow my m8's good cartridges and tables :)

wow, i'm listening to the mt st mike's - this is so awesome
- you're totally right! it's like a hidden alternate
drukqs! haha... you should really do this for the whole
album. i would do it myself, but i only have the cds, not
vinyl. it would take a really long time.

yeah im sure i can get more sound slowed down from the vinyl
than from a digital source :)

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2005-02-04 19:15 [#01487876]

maybe you could add some scratching? that'd be nice :)

offline elusive from detroit (United States) on 2005-02-04 19:15 [#01487877]

lol that would make it a legal "remix"

oh snap lookout! HERE COMES DA REMIX!

my table's belt isn't strong enuff to scratch, it always
take a 1/2second to "catch up" after scratching, i need a
better table.

haha, i've set up my turntables and pulled out my audiophile
drukqs now. The slowest I can get meltphace is 140 bpm, my
buddy played this for me even slower a long time ago on his
computer, i had trouble guessing what aphex track it was.

that is so richards voice in St Michaels, or at least it
sounds like a mans voice when you slow it down :/ I
wouldn't be surprised if he was lying about having his niece
or whoever record it all in one day.

i think it's been WELL over a year since i was saying i
would slow it down and record it,

god im lazy.

omg vord is about to nail in.

!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that bass line at the end is ENORMOUS!

ok bout to wrap it up, here comes the final notes at the end
(my fav part of drukqs ) oh man, i think i like it better
sped up right there at normal speed, but slowed down gets
the job down.

man, you guys, DRUKQS at slow speed IS SELECTED AMBIENT
WORKS III
