since search is disabled i couldnt find the original thread, and i had to get this off my chest.
i assume most people have had the time to let the album grow on them now, and, since initial reactions weren't so good, i thought i'd check in to see what people think now.
cause frankly, it's an amazing album. it's absolutely brilliant once you realize it.
i love almost all songs on it now.

"it's absolutely brilliant once you realize it."
yeah.. um. it's also incredibly awful once you realize it.
your statement is a positive version of the classic "you just don't understand this music".

"it's absolutely brilliant once you realize it."
or its the exactly opposite statement that removes all the postuering and preconcieved ideas people had following previous material, giving it a fair deal on its own merits. yah, that sounds about right.
and since when the hell did it become "you just don't understand this music" when it takes awhile for an album to grow on you? There's several albums that are like this following a band/person's other release electronic, complicated, easy listening.. whatever. its the time old tale of ppl changing and some ppl catching up and others not caring.
i find your anti-snootiness very snooty.

hmm, from all the people's descriptions it seems i'm really looking forward to this album. i thought fyuti was a bit too 'busy' in terms of sounds.
the independant reviewed it today! -- and gave it 4/5 saying it was bola's best. 'music for observing unthreatening alien lifeforms' or something.
great etc.
