at first listen this sounds more like µ-ziq than Kid Spatula, I hope this album will be like the old Paradinas, because I didn't like his last µ-ziq album, maybe Kid Spatula took over his µ-ziq skills. .. .

I was listening to some excerpts from it, and I definately agree, it sounds more like mu-ziq than Kid Spatula. In fact, to my eyes it sounds like Meast is "Royal Astronomy 2" (which, imho, is great news).
Perhaps he is sticking to his word about not using the mu-ziq moniker anymore after bilious paths leaked?

this album really rocks!!
some songs are an extension of existing µ-ziq songs, like The Fear and another I can't remember right now.
this double cd is going to be mine when it got released!!
Moebius: I thought about that too

perhaps he just felt like he had lots of good tracks lying on his hard drive that needed to be released.
the Jakal track was on the raft site during the roayl astronomy release btw.
this feels more like full sunken breaks 2

Some quality melodies on this record for sure. You can always rely on the greats (Mike P, Luke Vibert etc etc) to come up with the goods.

Billous is ok, definitely something you have to stick with IMO. Still I find it a bit too much of a headfxxx overall but its still a listenable record.
What I want is another Jake Slazenger record. Now who is with me? :D

Very very good tunes on this meast release ! plain and simple electro with a pinch of drill and early IDM. I'm instantly thinkng about ICBYD when I hear it / maybe it's just me.
This + billious path = best double release under two different monikers 2004.
personnal recommandations: off lemon, sad and solid and peg

Now for alll:
YES THERE WILL BE NO VINYL RELEASE: WHY ??
Tread: OFFICIAL PETITION can we please have a single 12" version of meast...
Mike P.: It's not going to happen, give up. Mike P.: The vinyl wouldn't make a profit. Vinyl is more than 2wice as expensive now as it was in 2000. I don't particularly want it on vinyl unless it's got full artwork and a good cut, so I'll leave it. Cash flow is too tight at the moment anyway. That's one reason the release schedule is delayed a month. I wish caroline would pay Bubblecore. If they don't we'll go bust before the end of the year.
other good news: Mike P: Yes, we are going to be on bleep very soon.
