The one with the Glass soundtrack...yep...
Another good film that's kinda similar is Baraka ... (can't recall who it's by though...)...

Baraka is amazing, and immaculately produced too. Koyaanisqatsi is great, but is perhaps beginning to show its age. Still absolutely amazing nontheless. I love films like that - try here for a bit of info and links.

The newest one has been released recently. On the theme of war and conflict. Beautiful but terrifying imagery.

Koyaanisqatsi is excellent, it does make some parallels that may seem pretty obvious to us now, but, the movie is 20 years old. It is basically a time lapse progression from pure nature to pure human creation, with a soundtrack by mr. glass. Some really beautiful imagery. I had planned on buying it, but if I remember correctly it was only available in PAL format then, which put me out of the running.
Koyaanisqatsi is the first movie in a Trilogy by director Godfrey Reggio. The other two are Powaqqatsi, and Naqoyqatsi. Both Have musical contributions by Phillip Glass, Nagoyqatsi was released in 2002 and also has music by yo yo ma.
I think I'll wait until there is a boxed set of all three and then buy them like that.

I saw for sale here in the US in good old NTSC format. I have yet to see the other 2 for sale. I haven't even seen them, though I'd love to. Also check on amazon.com. I know they sell them there on dvd. I must get these soon...

yeah, both Koy and Pow are available in NTSC as a package deal through amazon now. but, a couple of years ago they weren't. I'm willing to bet all three will be released as a special box deally soon.
