Running away

If you have enough money to travel then I'm sure you have
enough money to move out and support yourself.

Also, can your parents help you out a bit? Or do they want
you home?

You have my sympathies. Life can seem pretty hopeless when
you're depressed, and in a shitty situation.

Is there a part of you that isn't like this nihilistic side
of you?

I went with my nihilistic side for a while, nearly ended up
dying from doing too many drugs. I think that was the whole
thing though anyway, I didn't really care if I died or not.

You may not believe it right now, but I do believe there's a
chance for happiness on the other side of this. It may take
a long time + therapy + grieving, but I do think it's
possible.

I've been off drink and drugs now since early June and I'm
definitely happier than I was back then.

The best advice I have for helping yourself would simply be
this: be honest with yourself. Accept the truth of what's
going on for you internally.

The world is massive, with many lifestyles and places to
explore. To stay in one place for so long, is to deny
ourselves one of the great privileges of living on Earth.

Learn chinese or spanish at night school. Occupy your mind.
I take it you get for free being jobless. Sell all your
stuff on ebay. buy a iphone/ipad or laptop. Go see what's
out there. You can always come back at worst.

This year, I've lived in Hawaii, Canada, secluded desert in
California, and Egypt. Life is an adventure, but you gotta
go out and LIVE IT. If you cannot be like "fuck you" to a
boring life and make serious changes to realize a non-boring
life, you will still be saying "fuck you", but it will be
from you to yourself.

With a few thousand dollars, you could live for many months
in many "third world countries".

You think you missed a bit of hatred from your parents now
and then or do you mean they were overprotective?

People loving me too much is actually quite nice. they
rarely fuck me up.
(Actually some do. They freak me out.)

I guess it's about how we interpret the word i suppose.

Oh and 10'000 planets? Sorry that's laughable. It's like
saying there's a limit. a "wall". So far i don't think
anyone has found it yet. The bit where there's nothing. The
separation.

Nothing. How can one even concieve or understand what
nothing is? I'd love to ask Dawkins, though i think Hawking
would be far more interesting.

[x] drunk

I hope someone bumps in and talks about string theory, the
ever increasing amount of apparent dimensions, infinity, and
why god has a beard.

Oh and yeah, run away. Always the best way to solve things.

I agree with John Nasato though. Travelling is great. Too
much of it made me want a "home" though. Yeeees the planet
is my home. But you know what i mean. My place, family.
Holidays for sure. But somewhere where i'm anchored.

This is subjective of course. I have lived and been brought
up in many, many countries.

Around the time i was 25 i was desperate to settle down.

Sorry what point was it then?

All i'm saying is that with current understanding one could
very well say there is an infinite 'amount' of life out
there and couldn't be proven wrong. As for being proven
right, well i think it's clear. Unless we really are on the
only planet ever to hold life. In infinity... if the theory
is true (which we don't know)

Maybe a hardened Finitist would faint reading my words. Or
an idiot. But i'd love for anyone, even here, to explain to
me where it all ends. What it's like. And most importantly
(as my brain cannot concieve the idea) What is after the
end? What surrounds the end?

This is why i love Camus so much and his idea of absurdism.
This absurd quest we're on. Not just scientifically but also
spiritually.

Ultrafinitists: Hit me!

edit: oh this has got me checking out a few things. I like
this (taken from wikipedia):

"Note that the question of being infinite is logically
separate from the question of having boundaries. The
two-dimensional surface of the Earth, for example, is
finite, yet has no edge. By travelling in a straight line
one will eventually return to the exact spot one started
from. The universe, at least in principle, might have a
similar topology; if one travelled in a straight line
through the universe perhaps one would eventually revisit
one's starting point."

Sure. Fair enough. But my silly mind can't grasp it. Sure it
works on eath, but then the earth is surrounded. So what
would surround the universe if it was a loop thing. As for
the universe being flat. Sure, fine. But again, what
surrounds it? What holds it there?

All in all it's yet to be proven whether the size of the
universe is finite or infinite. I don't even know why the
fuck i'm talking about this anymore. :)

I think in your twenties it dawns on people everything is
difficult, youthful optimism seems to take a kicking. It is
not all economic disaster and evil people, dictators in the
world. Don't get depressed, do something about it, it is
within you. Start writing a blog about it. tumblr /wordpress
for free. It will help to express yourself and know how you
feel. Don't just get p*ssed and playing GTA throughout your
20's it is a waste.
