i think those 3 tracks we're talking about are the most accessible ones on the album. and there are still some more on it with all those layers of samples - that i need to get into.
Tolst might say that Tobin doesn't change from album to album - but i think that's just his world: sampling and sampling and sampling, and building dense tracks.

always is definately a keeper, but esther's and killer are the absolute standouts! both get a 5/5. take it or leave it

im not saying he's not changing im saying his sound is always the same. quite a dull one. unfortunatelly. but if you like ninja tune sound i can see why one would like this. it's not bad but not very good either. imo. imo. imo.

just discovered this (upon its actual release) a few days back and i'm really really enjoying it. this album stands up to multiple sequential listens on repeat (a rare feat for me these days). favorites: esther's, always, at the end of the day (but there isn't really a bad track on here). great! :)
