My input:

Drop the lobby. Replace it with the active news page, or
something relevant when you first enter the site. We really
don't need to know which technologies the site uses.

The top header (with the actual site navigations) is aligned
to the left, but the body content (ala the actual
information) is center aligned. If I were you, I would
left-align the body text too, and perhaps extend the table
to fit more in line with the header. Maybe decrease the size
of the border stroke around the table text too.

Orange and blue don't normally work nicely together, but
it's not too bad here. My main concern is the actual site
sections (lobby, info desk, etc..) are kinda lost and
competing against the graphic behind them. I really believe
that less is more, and you have to ask yourself just how
important that background image is? Does it signify/mean
anything? What is its purpose other than aesthetics? I know
that I personally would be able to browse your site much
easier without it.

Perhaps place the mp3 player somewhere else on the page.
Humans read horizontally then vertically, and the first
thing your eyes will see on the page is the little MP3
applet rather than your website logo. I think it would work
nicely at the bottom of the page, perhaps in its own frame.
You could also use this space to include the "copyright/web
technologies used" for people who don't have flash etc....

I like the general body type layout though. The
laboratories/discography is neat and easy to navigate. I
don't think the thumbnails need the border however. Perhaps
you could use a single pixel border in black instead.

It's certainly far from terrible though. I think with a
little more work and colour co-ordination, it will be quite
a nice site.

Fair enough then. A bad attitude to take though, unless
you're the only one who intends to visit it.

it's the attitude of someone who specifically said he
doesn't want input about the look of the site
responding to a lengthy post of ways to "improve" the look
of the site.

how many times do i have to say this - this is not a thread
where i'm asking for help with web design. this is a thread
where i am asking folks to go to a website. if there are
technical problems, missing pages, broken links - i would
definitely appreciate it if you filled me in. otherwise, no
comments necessary, thanks.

if there are technical problems, missing pages, broken links
then what the fuck are you doing making websites?

xltronic is still such a drag, really. i don't know how i
keep getting sucked into these asinine discussions - i'm
really not a mean guy.

sorry for the negativity in this thread to all the people
who don't deserve to read such nonsense
