it's what people like to read/see. what is so difficult to
understand about that? most people would rather see a story
involving a soul mate/love in a romantic sense, but that has
nothing to do with common sense. doesn't matter if it's
russian classics or hollywood blockbuster. the idea is the
same, only difference being that with hollywood you have
thousand cliches involved.

and i wasn't suggesting you should use those terms, it's
merly for you too see that usual perception of soul mate
doesn't neccessarily mean there's just one person for you.

i wish i knew whether you were being serious or not. if you
were, i'd simply love to hear your thoughts on equal
rights of women.

Rastafarian culture isn't really so hot on the whole idea of
equal rights for women.

They believe women to be subordinate, not just physically
but intellectually.

Do i believe in a soulmate? Of course. I know people that
are in situations where they couldnt be happier and have
found their partner of sorts. I dont know how i feel using
the word though... but i think there is a perfect match out
there for everyone. Finding that on the other hand is
something else.

Love is a word that is thrown around too easily. I dont like
it and rarely use it except when refering to beverages/food
:p

Also finding that "perfect match" is quite alot of work. Its
not something that everyone is going to achieve. Most people
will settle for less and adapt from there. Just what i have
noticed from personal experiences

yeah, you might've just said it was a fucking joke from the
beginning, instead of acting like a fucking Downs child and
saying

sorry, i must have missed something..serious about what
exactly?

im all for women being equal to men.
(as long as they don't go out of kitchen much)

Yeah, tolstoyed, why don't you give a detailed analysis of
any jokey, insincere comments you might express on this
board to redrum beforehand? Yes, even the really fucking
obvious ones. Only a disabled child would behave otherwise.

this is the part i had a problem with. I asked you after you
said it whether you were being serious or not, whether it
was a joke or not, and you just acted the bollocks.

future.

tolstoyed, i know a lot of people think that a soulmate, is
what has been stated on this thread, but redrum showed that
the original idea of what a soulmate is, is what we think it
is. It's therefore contradictory to think that we're wrong
in our opinion of what makes a soulmate. I'm not saying that
if someone said they had found a soulmate, I'd think OMG,
YOU'VE LITERALLY FOUND YOUR OTHER HALF!!!!!!! I'd know that
they meant they'd found someone they "clicked" with and got
on well with easier and quicker than most people.
How strange... I just looked in 3 different dictionaries and
I can't find it in any of them.. hmm
