when was the last time you used a cassette player that didn't produce sound???
i dont see how you can deny its an instrument, its basically being used just like a sampler, but alot dirtier.

you know, it really depends on who is playing the instrument! overall i'd have to say piano, because it is as percussive as it is melodic. it's kind of like playing the drums, but with more precise notes. not sure if that made sense to anyone else, hehe.
