The mono version of Venus in Furs is amazingly better than
the stereo one. So is the complete "& Nico" album.

this could well be one of my very most favourite songs.

I heard it on Crossing Jordan once, while she was searching
a fetish club for evidence. That was weird.

The Cowboy Junkies made a cover of Sweet Jane in Natural
Born Killers Soundtrack that has something (dunno what) that
reminds me the mood in Venus in Furs.

did you buy a coke the next day.
it mightve been some sort of marketing scheme or something.

you might have seen him drinking something out of the coca
cola can, but i'd be very surprised if it was actually coke.

what was he doing, material-wise?

i've just recently got, from my college library, a 5 disc
set of the velvet underground stuff. it's basically demo
versions of tracks (incl. satellite of love) and then
outtakes from albums. Quite weird hearing some of the early
demo versions, but i can't imagine that the VU ever
performed a single track the same way more than once.

im a fan of vu and not so much of reeds solo stuff although
he's done plenty of awesome songs as well. i don't know his
later albums to well, and majority of the stuff they played
was from there. they played sweet jane in the bis and that
was it. john cale played here couple of weeks ago, it'd be
ace if they'd get back together for a world tour, but that
won't happen..

cheers, goran. I'm not really a big fan of reed, but it's
always interesting to see what he's doing.
