I always have a problem with "apocryphal"

offline redrum from the allman brothers band (Ireland) on 2005-06-15 05:17 [#01633118]
Points: 12878 Status: Addict

i used to write "permenant" instead of "permanent".

"infinately" instead of "infinitely" for some unknown
reason.

that's about all i can think of.

offline earface from somewhere (Yugoslavia) on 2005-06-15 06:33 [#01633146]
Points: 492 Status: Lurker

You always had a problem with 'aprocryphal'? Have you had
much need for it then?

For 'infinitely' I have to think 'in-finite-ly'; and for
where I have to think 'were here', because I'm a fooking
retard. YAY.

offline redrum from the allman brothers band (Ireland) on 2005-06-15 09:46 [#01633253]

yeah i dunno why i fucked up the spelling of infinitely..
was just habit i guess. it was actually when i thought about
it - that it was just "infinite" with the adverbial ending
smacked on, that i solved the problem.

I haven't read any of this topic but my brain sometimes
completely forgets how to spell enough.

Oh, I was being serious. I do use that little exercise. For
'Philosophy' I sometimes have to think 'Philo-Sophy'. Simple
mnemonic techniques for a dumbass really. Hey ho, what ever
achieves the results and all that.

Oh, also, I always have to remind myself that 'appall' is
not spelt 'appaul' - which seems much more intuitive (though
I'm probably just thinking of 'applaud').

I wrote in an exam last weekend '...simultineity (if there
is such a word!)...'. But of course there is. Damn fool.

just now i needed to write the word 'camouflage', but for
the life of me i couldnt remember how! so i do what i always
do, open Word and type it in, and let Word correct any
mistakes i made.

but i still dont think it looks right. 'camouflage'. it
dosnt even look like a real word.

for some reason in my Spanish exam I had real problems with
the word 'relationship'. I wrote "relacionship" and
"relashionship" about 3 times each before I finally got it.

Really weird as I've never had any problems with it before
or after. :S
