no, it's not. the idea makes me nauseas. i'm sure if i was
given time to think it through i could get the energy to
kill someone over me, but if i was put on the spot i'd
probably pass out or something equally pathetic.

then again, maybe my amygdala would take over and i would go
all militant on the offender

survival mode would kick in and you would have to do
whatever you possibly could to continue living.

I urgree. Sort of. Though I wonder what would happen to the
crime rate in America if it adopted Canadian laws towards
firearms and weapons and killy killy stuff. I really have no
idea and not enough knowledge to make an educated guess.

the amount of gun deaths would obviously decrease at an
astronomical rate to mirror the rates of canada. america
would be much, much safer and kids wouldn't kill themselves
playing with their parent's guns. but we just made assault
rifles legal, so i don't think it's going to happen anytime
soon.

I doubt they would have faked statistics.

especially when they're so happy to label their source, (one
of which I beleive is reliable)

it's a third-hand quote from a professor, not an objective
investigation. and it's not a question of "faking"
statistics - numbers are very easy to play with. you can
make make statistics go however you want rather easily, so
one how has to be careful who they go to for statistics.
and the fact that it comes from an obviously biased source
means that you should be less ready to trust it. believe
whatever you like, but i'm not going to get info from a
pro-gun organization about the safety of guns for obvious
reasons. it's just not trustworthy.
