I was listening to the remainder of the Commentaries last
night, and it was revealed that, in the episode where Tim
Bisley loses his job and Daisy Steiner attempts to sign back
on to the dole (I guess this would be episode I of season
II), after Daisy was thrown out of the bank for trying to
get a tenner, the old lady who was thrown out after is in
fact the same old lady who appears in the Aphex Twin video,
COME TO DADDY. Interesting to the utmost degree.

Thats triviariffic. I think thats episode 2 of S2 by the
way, cause the first one is the one with the Kevin Eldon
agents and stuff

You guys are right - the episodes of Season II all merge
into one big glob. I believe he just said Aphex Twin, not
Richard D James.

it's ok, far too much smug pop culture references though for
my taste and the characters aren't really that likeable, I'm
an Office man through and through really, nothing beats that
IMO

yeah, I like all characters in the Office (except ironically
Finchy) but I only like 1 character in Spaced.

The only really funny bits in Spaced IMO are the geeks go
clubbing bits, UK raver, King and Queen of Clubland etc

I get it, I get most of the references and I'm of the age
group that it's obviously aimed at (Grange Hill, Star Wars
episode iv generation) but I just don't think it's as funny
as people say it is, midly amusing if anything

Didn't think Sean of the Dead was THAT funny either, sorry.

Brian: That's chaos theory. The belief that the future is in
fact a mathematically predictable preordained system.

Daisy: So somewhere out there in the vastness of the unknown
there's an... equation for predicting the future?

Brian: An equation so complex as to utterly defy possibility
of comprehension by even the most brilliant human mind, but
an equation nonetheless.

Tim: Oh my god...

Brian: What?

Daisy: What?

Tim: I've got some fucking Jaffa Cakes in my coat pocket..!

2nded. i live in gloucester where simon pegg grew up and
went to one of the local schools, i watched a screening of
shaun of the dead about a year ago in the local arthouse
cinema where he gave a talk about anything and everything.
spaced is comic gold, it is pure genius.

i stick by what i said. bottom is aged at spotty teenagers

i've never seen sex in the city, but the early series of
fraiser were very good, though it did loose its way and in
the later series just felt like you might as well be
watching friends, which is diabolical.
i don't actually hate people who like bottom. plenty of my

yoof: "you what? What are you on about?"

Cos it shows a total generation gap and the yoof thinks tims

On 30 October 2007, it was announced that Fox would
commission a pilot for an American version of Spaced.
Variety reported that it was unclear how Pegg and Wright
will be involved, but that they may be advisors to the
series; however, Wright later confirmed via his MySpace blog
that neither he, Pegg nor Hynes were at any point approached
regarding what Edgar infamously termed "McSpaced" (as picked
up quickly by fans and internet press who disliked the idea
of a remake) and will have no involvement.

Wright expressed that he was upset that "they would a) never
bother to get in touch but still b) splash me and Simon's
names all over the trade announcements and imply that we're
involved in the same way Ricky & Steve were with The
Office." Wright also expressed anger at the media for
overlooking Hynes' role in the creation of Spaced by
connecting the series to Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz in
news articles. Pegg, Hynes and Wright have complained about
a "lack of respect" shown by the US makers who have left
them out of discussions.
