I'd join in with this only I can't honestly think of I
question I'd like answered that I didn't think would annoy
them and that I thought would stand a chance of being
answered. So I won't. Thanks for your attention.

Some questrions asked by people on the site already:

do you ever just want to rock out with some 4/4 rythms
and surf guitar?

There's a fight between Brian Eno and John McEntire. What
weapons do they use, who wins and what is the winning move?

I'm a voluntary member of Camden Friends of the Earth. We're
planning a series of summer events to raise awareness of
climate change. Would you be willing to help us out?

Do you like egg custard?

When you listen to Coil, do you think of music?

So, what question do you wish someone would ask?

Do you ever fear artificial intelligence will make you
irrelevant? What if it locked you out of the studio?

Because it's more accessible... in a word. I wrote quite a
long answer to this, but it's not like I don't enhoy their
new stuff - just not as much.

it seem that most of these question are asked by some lazy
twats that know autechre only from last 2 albums. some of
these question refer to things that already happened, its
just sad how lazy ppl are.

Oh yea! Ive got a good one then:

Is there a possibility that you will release some of your
music from the early '90's, for example songs that didn't
make it onto Incunabula/Amber? Or indeed anything of this
nature.

'get' your music what you are up to, what would you say?

Because on the face of it - for many people - it's bleak
digital noise."

what a SHIT question.

what would be the ideal conditions - time, place,
situation, emotional state - for listening to
'Untilted'

why would you ask that, to any musician ever?

what kind of answer is she expecting

ok mrs. alastair - untilted will only really ideally sound
good around 11AM, in your boyfriends apartment, needing to
release some diarrhea from your bowels and feeling very
depressed. thanks

autechre, when you decided to shorted your name on your
records, were you aware there already was a band called
ae?

the group called "ae" came after autechre called themselves
ae (which is pretty much from basscadet and onwards).

autechre have even threatened to take ae to court, about 2
years ago. ae changed their name.

nu-uh, i will simple distract lou by offering him the chance
to take part in a dodgey scheme, hey lou want to buy 5000
rolls of prison-grade toilet paper? you could sell them on
to your friends and make a fortune
, giving harold enough
time to towel himself down and prepare to attack lou with a
baguette.

Ae did something like this before when Confield came out.
Some one asked the question:

"Do you remember when you used to make good music? What
happened since then?"

Man, they got really pissed off at that! At least now they
can filter out the good from the bad.

Read Ae's answers to questions about custard and (groan)
architecture. Don't read their answer to my question as it
wasn't asked or they, quite rightly let's be honest, ignored
it.

I thought this was an interesting comment:

"The only bearing we have against what’s happening
elsewhere in music is the latest Apple hardware or Akai
samplers, or the latest speakers. When you really boil it
down we’re in a very contrived technological environment,
because there’s a board of directors in control of, say,
Yamaha or Akai or whatever, and these bits of gear are
probably pre-empting a certain kind of music because they
are filling it with certain kinds of behaviour. I guess
we’ve always tried to circumvent that as well. We know
there is a latent possibility in all this equipment."

They ignored all my questions and many others that i'd have
prefered over the selected ones. Apart from the egg custard
one.

bbc chose the questions actually.
