one of the first songs i ever saw on muchmusic that i can
remember, and then proceeded to seek out afterwards: Lemon
by U2... Zooropa was one of the first cassettes i ever
bought... i had sort of forgotten just how electronic that
album is... and now i figure it must have been a pretty
large formative influence on how i responded to electronics
in music...

i don't remember any tv shows from those days, but i
remember when radio stations started to play detroit techno
music..it sounded like something from another playnet..i was
still stuck with rock music mostly tho..perhaps if seattle
rock thing wouldn't occour at about that same time i'd get
into electronic music a lot earlier :)

yeah, i liked zooropa quite a bit when it got out as
well..im not 86 but compared to most of the people here im
old..i was already rocking it out when some of the people
weren't even born yet :)

same with me - i only listened to rock music... i don't
like the cheesy commercial metal from back then anymore, but
i also still don't like the dance-oriented music from that
era. :)

Electro and Streetsounds compilations, The Art of Noise,
soundtracks... back when things seemed simplier and you just
heard something and you thought "Yes, this music I LIKE, it
makes me think of intersting things and improves life." I
really like the broadly termed electronica music genre, it
is my favourite, YES.
