no, but as phobs say they come here a lot, and it is a
stance to take - if theyre not going to do it, then thats
their decision they are the record company - but it is a
supply and demand relationship, supply for the demand - if
they dont want to supply, then to the meet demand soulseek
going to be very busy.

we are also talking about aphex WARP twin, who has never
released anything (of his major works) on vinyl only -
therefore there are lot of people who like afx from his warp
days who are feeling miffed.

cute project Matus.

That dishonesty of your question confuses me. But I
love certain releases by aphex twin, just not this
one. Besides, he's a millionaire already.

in some other thread, the one where phobs is fielding
questions from us to rephlex, grant says there are no plans
at this time *for a cd release
thus sneakattack began the petition

Thanks everyone who has signed! My hands are frozen and
typing is a pain, so some brief rationale:

How long did it take to make this petition? very little.
how long does it take to sign? almost none.

Finally, this has some small chance of swaying the issue,
and basically no chance of HARMING it, so together you see
that it's an easy and decent thing to do.

As a side note, I did start getting worried about grant's
comment like mrgypsum said, and maybe he was bluffing, but
my letter has two clauses, the second requesting a high
quality
CD release, not some incomplete crap thing.

if anyone can spam it anywhere, by all means please do!!
Furthermore if you have suggestions for me, please supply
those as well! In 3 weeks at the latest I'd like to get
this to rephlex and warp.

Aren;t they releasing a CD when the series is complete?

in the questions thread grant was kinda fickle on the
matter; "there are no plans at this moment". Note that the
petition ALSO requests that the CD is good (i.e., complete).

what klind of retarted idea is it to not release it on CD
anyway, its 2005, almost everyone has a cd player, how many
people have record players these days?

I bet aphex has no plans to make a boat load of money from
record sales. His cash cow is most likely playing live.

i think this may have been a good idea to really show
rephlex how many people want this on cd, but i think the
absolute stupidity of some of the signatures kind of ruins
it.

good work.

I could have done a few things better; I could have
organized people to spread it around and agree on the text
before making it, and maybe I shouldn't have even been the
one to create it (I assume you've seen the 20 most recent
signatures).

but oh well, let's keep trying, thanks to all who are
signing it still!

well as I've said 100 times at this point, it takes very
little energy to do, so at the very least the signers lost
~5 seconds of time, and at the very best we have a great
release.

Put this way, I think it's pretty clearly not a bad thing to
do.
