new venetian snares samples up

I can't listen to this now, but, I like some of the stuff
I've heard. . I wonder if he'd get a lot more recognition if
he just picked the 'cream of the crop' of all his tracks and
released like 5-10% of the amount of cds he does. It'd be a
lot easier for the fans to follow. I mean, I'm sure there's
some really stand out tracks on all of these
albums/eps/whatevers but I don't think anyone can
consitently release that much stuff and have it all be good.
It just seems a bit oversaturated. Many people have made the
same argument. but whatever. I just wouldn't have any
fucking clue where to start if I did want to start listening
to his music. But what do I know?

I must say I'm quite liking this. And I dont usually like
Snares, although Funk has always managed to hold my interest
through bewilderment alone, and the odd fantasy about
putting one of his tracks on a dj set in shitty local house
bar. Also, the composition of the sleeve is fucking spot on.
May buy this yet.

whoa, track 7 he sampled elgar cello concerto; that was a
surprise. Some of the CD sounds good but that crap was a
wreck.

avant-garde trip hop, kind of.

Venetian Snares
-------------------
It's time he gets the recognition he deserves. He's every
bit as good as Aphex and Ae. This is just more proof.

I mean, their...
ME likey The Venetian Snare's electric indie rock and/or
roll fiddle muzak. it pumps through me brokenest speakers
and shatters me face and I laugh. I is proud of their many
unforgettable releases. I ain't entertaining as they is.

OMG new Snares. I myself don't normally like Snares too
much, but after these samples I can tell you that normally I
don't like Snares too much. These sound like a desperate
attempt of a one trick beat pony who is running out of
ideas. Hajnal sounded mildly interesting, but Snares goes
classical is a pathetic piss poor pretentious project
projecting paltry percussion, probably pleasing peasant
people.

They do sound pretty damned good, especially 'hajnal' and
'második galamb'. I am definitely going to investigate
Venesian Snares if only because of the weird as fuck track
titles.

How is it hate? I just dislike most of his output.
Obviously, those who have been paying attention have
witnessed me lavishing heaps of praise on MrFunk when he
(IMO_==) hits the mark, but in general he releases >90%
junk.

I listened to some more of them and it's pretty terrible.
there is no appreciable intellect used in combining or
structuring what's going on at all. It's just some gay
beats and someone fiddling with their new synthesis toy.

he sucks and it's demeaning to see people have other common
likes and then have things like this.

Imagine if you are in love with some girl you are seeing and
are telling a friend about her beauty for ten minutes, and
he keeps agreeing and supplying his own commentary, and then
he starts bragging about how some girl is hotter and making
you feel awful, and it's some fat chick with doritos in her
crotch. this analogy failed as badly as snares,
ohwellgoodbye

I find most of his stuff worth a listen, i usually enjoy
checking out his albums, but they only last for an very
short time.

Some of his stuff is quite fun "party" music, works well
when drinking with friends and having a good time, but as
soon as i try to give it some proper attention i get tired
of it and usually of the way it's mixed. I dont like how
chocolate wheelchair or hccbu is mixed, just plain out load
and it all seems out of his own control.

My fav album is probably doll doll doll, it can still be
great to listen to sometimes on the train. Even though it's
very load and "dark/silly" i still think it has more soul
and "overall control" then most of the other stuff ive
heard from him.

ecnadniarb - it just seems like there's usually a lot of
people on here who go overboard slagging the fellow... this
is the first thread i've seen where there seem to be more
positive posts than negative. but, that's a very reasonable
response - thanks. we'll have to agree to disagree on him,
i think.

sneakattack - then maybe the problem is that he doesn't
suck, and you just don't like his music. because he doesn't
suck. ;)

The stupid thing is that your album with Virginpusher shits
all over Snares recent albums and y'all don't get the
recognition or anything.

i don't think the comparison with aphex twin makes much
sense. they're really too different.

perhaps most people on this board don't like breakcore in
general? it seems that way.

I love the amen break...and don't even mind when you add the
core on the end. I just expect music to have a shelf life
of more than 2 listens...and even fans of Snares music admit
most of his music gets stale really quickly. If it wasn't
for the fact he was releasing about 5 albums worth of stuff
a year he would be quickly forgotten/replaced with someone
more talented but less prolific.

suck alittle less haha!

but hey, i got an premium account and you better belive that

i don't believe in this nebulous ratio where the more music
an artist makes the worse it is. that's total nonsense.
why do you think they're so good at what they do? because
they make music constantly.

i don't like *all* of vsnares' music, but i haven't found
that it gets old.

it's fine if you don't like it, but you can't sit there and
tell me that hccbu isn't a quality album. it's excellent.

that's really great to hear! it's nice to hear that you
listen to it on the MD, i prefer listening to music when im
out (riding the train, walking whatever) so it's very nice
to know that you experience our music in different
environments, i cant explain why but listening to music in
other places then infront of the computer is so much better
and i cant explain why but knowing you put our album on an
md makes me feel extra happy too.

Liverpool untited kingdom, you couldnt e-mail me your adress
or something, i would like to send you an top quality
version of the CD if you would want it. As you listen to the
album so much i think you should have it in top quality, i
would also like to send one as a thanks for the premium

why do you spend most of your time misinterpreting what
people write? I suggest you take a few deep breaths, calm
down, go back to what I wrote and read it again.
