you're full of shit. about a week ago, idf (israeli army) killed a 13 year old because they thought her backpack (so says the officer in charge) was full of explosives. it turned out to be full of.. books. the officer in charge of the outpost fired a burst of bullets into her. if i were her brother, i would probably pick up a gun and do my best to kill israeli soldiers. most israelis don't support the occupations and don't want this militaristic tragedy. mothers don't want to send their sons to fight. but people are at a wit's end, they don't want to live in fear, and they react emotionally, and you have this tragic situation if you want to do something you can check out btselem which is a human rights org. based in israel monitoring what is happening in the west ban and gaza and also shalom achshav! (peace now!) is a leftist org that's trying to end this mess in the most humane possible. i've volunteered with several orgs. for monitoring how soldiers behave in checkpoints before, it's not pretty. if you want to do something, there are plenty of things to do rather then point fingers here and wax politic about how this or that person is evil and responsible. |

i think children talking just likes to make drama, very nearly the only things he ever posts are tastless attempts at setting somebody off...of course by posting this i am definitely feeding into this vicious cycle.... but anyways just because his fuckin rabbi came up with a couple horror stories doesn't mean shit. there are terrible things happening on both sides and there's no way you can say there isn't. and just because things are really messy over there and people do crazy things on both sides doesn't make either the palestinians or the israelis subhuman. you can't simplify this conflict by saying one side is, and that's what he's trying to do. |
