I can't really speak on the Russian issue simply because I
am young, uneducated on the issue, and most respectively,
dont live in the area under their control.

Why do you think I have yet to really "post" in that thread
under any kind of arguement...cause I have no right to speak
against what you have said.

I wish others would appreciate the same technhique

I don't see why "asshole" would make sense, but "arsehole"
wouldn't.

perhaps both are derogatory terms but with different
etymological backgrounds? so they are both derogatory but
mean something different, except that ass also means the
buttocks?

I wouldn't find that kind of material worth commenting on.

It's unfair that that particular geometric pentagon should
get all the attention, by being referred to as "the
pentagon", with all the other fine pentagons in this world.

...............really not that type or quality of reply I
was hoping for.

I've ran out of ideas to contradict the "snopes" article.

I was hoping you guys were thinking more outside the box and
were to come up with a few key points of interest that i had
overlooked.

Hopefully.........

listen to this.. he's got a funny texan voice, yes, but you
won't be able to dispute any of the things they talk about
simply because they're all documented facts.. and many/most
from mainstream sources ..so HAH

offline epohs from )C: on 2004-09-09 14:52 [#01329919]

i'm listening.

i find this stuff fascinating, but the problem with
conspiracy theories is that once you start buying into them
it kinda snowballs, and in order to believe in any of them
you have to distrust everything any authority figure says,
believe everything every wacko says, and pretty much believe
that everyone on the planet is in on some massively global
plot to trick YOU.

faking something as massive as 9/11 is just too much for our
fucking incompetent gov't to pull off... let alone
coordinate with several other incompetent governments on.

the kennedy assasination is a much more plausible scenerio.

being anti-establishement is just so hip that people will
accept just about any concocted plot that says the
establishment is full of shit.

offline theo himself from +- on 2004-09-09 15:03 [#01329927]
Points: 3348 Status: Regular

it's called confirmation bias.. I know.. but there's no good
reason to close yourself off to facts if they support an
argument one doesn't want to believe or thinks is too
farfetched

9/11 is not too hard for the govt to handle.. look at some
of the things the CIA has done in the past! look at the
civil war they literally engineered in order to create
panama so they'd get the canal. there are corporations that
have employed thousands that have been fronts for anti
communist intel gathering in S. America.. one of my friend's
grandfather worked for ITT who were instrumental in the
assassination of Salvadore Allende in Chile because he was
tied to Castro and there was too much copper on the Chilean
coastline for us to not get our hands on.

I never take sides in things like thjis.. I want to hear
both versions of the story.. but with this there are too
many things that are being kept secret ..but for no good
reason.. again, I'm not saying I know what happened. I don't
think anyone can at this point.. but I want to get at
whatever facts are out there.

the establishment is full of shit that's obvious.. this has
nothign to do w/ me being 'hip'

So you are saying 3000+ people are dead because of an
international conspiracy.

Yeah, Ok...please let me know how their families react when
you try telling them their husbands, wives, etc dead because
of gov. conspiracy.

No.

that's exactly what I'm saying. what are you saying? you
don't even know why you believe what you believe. listen to
that interview and dispute even ONE thing and I might
consider your argument.. whatever that might be

it.. like everything else.. is all about money

Of course it's shitty about what happened, but I think the
fact that a lot of people believe that it was a conspiracy
is sad. That only says soo much about the American

it might be 20 to 30 years from now, but eventually a good
amount of people will find that the gov't was either
proactively assissting this "suprise" attack or they allowed
it to happen. at this point, 56% of new yorkers.. or the
ones polled at least, believe the government could have done
something about it but failed

i remember watching the crash at the pentagon on 911 and
wondering where is the plane? but then dismissing that
thought, granted, it was unbelievable that the plane was
nowhere to be seen, but then we did see the whole thing on
tv, with our own eyes. i chose to trust what i saw on tv.

lately i've been delving into conspiracy sites, notably
abovetopsecret.com, and while it's nice (and sometimes
downright scary) to read about this shit in the middle of
the night, much of it seems bogus.

just now, i was thinking about how the plane seemingly
'disappeared', and i was reminded of the el al plane that
struck an appartment buidling in amsterdam in 1992. did the
plane disappear there too? yes sir, according to
this site

this site has some more info about the el al disaster
of 1992. info on this is not widely spread for some
reason...
