amazon.com.

secondhand.

only thing that was sketchy about those dvd's is what the
image ratio is.. there's NO info on that that I can find, so
I'm afraid it's fullscreen, which is just shit.

the German amazon also has it, for about 5 euro's
secondhand, and that one is 16:9.

Oh cool, 6 bucks at Amazon. I didn't think they'd carry it
for some reason. But of course it has to suffer the
indignity of ''no image available''.

I read some reviews on the DVDs once, right after seeing it
for the first time, and they were very positive regarding
the quality (no special features though)... I'm pretty sure
they're widescreen, or else I would have remembered... I
can't stand 4:3.

I have no idea why they keep producing dvd's with a 4:3
ratio.

like the upcoming Star Wars set - there's a gold and a
platinum edition. the only difference is that the one is 4:3
and the other is widescreen.

who the hell is going to buy the fullscreen version!?

Not I! But I guess some DVDs don't have any sort of
letterboxing option or anything, and when you watch them on
a standard screen, it's looks all scrunched. I have a few
like that, and I could never enjoy them until I got a big
screen.

That Last Man on Earth DVD at Amazon... it's widescreen. And
it's so mine.

Evolume- nice info, I guess I saw the uncut version. I
didn't even know it was uncut... those are some of the
moments I remember most, some pivotal moments in disgustory.
That chainsaw accident really wasn't in the standard
version? Sarah shooting the baby, etc...

Shame about those deleted scenes... it sort of bothered me
that it just cut to a scene with them wheeling in blubber
butt, didn't show them getting out of the truck. Bothered me
even more that Luda was getting sicker totally behind the
scenes.

Great movie. I found it extremely intense, and I actually
gave a shit about quite a few characters, some poignant
scenes. It might be superior, but I'm sort of biased towards
the lighter tone of the first one. Much more than just a
remake, either way. Good to have them both.
