yeah, lack of choice if you're lazy as shit and just read the scripts your agent sends you.. "you'd be GREAT in this.." she should go out and find a script with a role that she'd like to play. or at least an interesting writer and/or director. |

i hear alot of horror stories about powerbooks being shit, but the only thing that ever went wrong with mine was that initial cd drive issue. thing has never so much as frozen since. my ipod just doesn't work now. it makes me sad. |

i like how my machine has been in 3 times, and on the second time they managed to scratch the shit out of the left hand side, and on the third time they managed to adjust the display hinge so that it makes it VERY uncomfortable to use as a laptop now |

I had a G4 powerbook... it was fine :) actually, i kind of wish i kept it now, i much prefer laptops. I might get the G5 when that comes out if I can afford it. |

worst.movie.of.2004. There was about two differenct occasions where it looked like she was going to kiss the predator. The archeologist dude could translate those "foreign" heiroglyphics in like 5 seconds....AND AND the whole beginning jumped around so damn much. hey look I'm digging for a pepsi cap in mexico....oh look now it's so chic climbing the fuxing anerandite. C'mon....I know this movie was suppose to be about fighting (a little of that to boot), but damn everything was so unorganized. The only redeeming thing was watching the alien queen, because she kicksass in all the movies. |

I read somewhere that Anderson was forced by the studio to cut a lot out of the film and that he himself is quite unhappy with the current cut. the dvd will be a directors cut bla bla BLAH BLAAAAH. |

they all say that. although the pg-13 rating makes me sort of want to believe that maybe a studio bullied him into it. still, not even remotely entertaining. |

I thought some of the fight scenes and special fx were cool. But that's it. Bad story, bad script, just bad. << Plot hole #1: The predators need humans to host the aliens so they attracted the scientists to the island. These battles happen every 100 years. In 1904, there was a whaling crew there so that's where they got the humans. But what about every battle before then going back to the point in history when Antarctica officially became uninhabitable? Did the chest bursters come out of penguins or something? Plot hole #2: Now I'm not such a big nerd that I know the life cycle of the aliens, but I doubt they can develop from eggs to full grown adults in a matter of hours, if that. But alas, that's what happens in this movie. The retardation of the ending: A chest burster pops out of a predator on the ship. The audience is supposed to forget that the preds just totally dominated the aliens five minutes ago, killing every one and their queen, while only a handful of predators died. The preds could take care of that fucker no problem, but instead it's going to be the basis for a sequel. |

if the sequel is triple directed by james cameron, ridley scott and whoever made predator, i might go see it. that woman was lame. it should have arnold teaming up with a predator and taking on the queen. |

Lol the movie was so shit that I left as the predators were leaving to beat everyone out. I knew more was going to happen after the credits. I was waiting for the chest burster to come out of the predator. Yippeeee a follow-up to the already House of the Dead runner up. They could have at least added some random nudity of chics like they did in HotD, but noooo. And furthermore to anyone that had read the AvP comic published by Dark Horse back in the day....wouldn't it have been so much better if they followed the comic roots more closely. C'mon an ancient civilization is horribe. At least have it take place on another world where the predators would breed the aliens. |

in that same piece of info I mentioned earlier Anderson said that in his original plothole #2 you mention gets explained - he says the predators keep the queen in some kind of chamber that pump her full of hormones, that exhilirates the alien's breeding cycle. still sounds shitty, but oh well. and on plothole #1 - that's where people ask: why didn't the predator detonate himself? |
