Shit, I tried Real Player, Quick Time, installing divx etx
into winamp. Nothing gives me visuals. Fuck, I wanna see him
turn knobs and turn around to get joints and talk to people,
etc...

what version did you download? myself and big, both
downloaded the best quality one and it didn't work the first
time, so we had to download it again. it workd the 2nd time,
at least it worked for me.

k-rock...his music wasn't too good, but he was dancing and
jumping...not quite as much as bogdan though :)

goddamn, that's some nasty drum n bass he's playing 16
minutes into the clip...any idea what's that??

offline zaphod from the metaverse on 2004-08-08 21:32 [#01299367]
Points: 4428 Status: Addict

when he lays down that drum and bass beat over the acid
track at around the 13:30 mark it goes from good to awesome.

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2004-08-08 21:35 [#01299370]

indeed...you can't even notice the pass. and it goes from
awesome to wicked when he starts playing gabba over that dnb
later in the set. he's god....that's it.

offline zaphod from the metaverse on 2004-08-08 21:37 [#01299371]

16:50 mark. the bass is pummeling. its crazy. i want to hear
this on an official release. soon.

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2004-08-08 21:39 [#01299372]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator

i can't imagine how that bass must have felt there :)

what i like is how some people are awkwardly attempting to
dance to it, but then they seem to just give up and bob
their heads instead.
nonetheless, i'd steal an old womans purse to see him live.

italians are pretty lame when it comes to dancing...i saw
them next night, and when he played the most fucked up stuff
imaginable people were just standing there and watching. no
wonder he said in an interview he's bothered when ppl stare
at him, and that he's seriously thinking of once coming to a
gig and not play anything but stare right into the crowd :)

offline zaphod from the metaverse on 2004-08-08 21:49 [#01299381]
Points: 4428 Status: Addict

the only dancing you can do to this is breakdancing, and
italians in adidas tracksuits doing b boy face offs to this
would be....awesome.

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2004-08-08 21:52 [#01299384]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator

:) well, i wouldn't call it dancing either, but it looks
totally silly if you're just standing there. dunno what
people expect when they come to the afx gig...i bet it's
different in uk. actually it was different in spain as well,
but there were plenty of uk people, so i bet they did all
the dancing :)

um, I'm dling the parts. 1,2,3,4. none work. Sounds
distorted as hell, too. but that's live for you.

i just watched the second part of that afx set...all i can
say is that i'll be sorry i didn't go to that gig every time
i'll watch these clips :(

there is no one better when it comes to djing...no one!

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2004-09-13 04:27 [#01333419]

he's the biggest library of electronic music...i listen to
as much stuff as possible (old and new) and i still only
recognioze a few songs in each of his sets...and apperantly
other people are having troubles telling what those songs
are as well. and the way he puts them together is just
mindblowing...energetic, harsh and extremly danceable!

it would be sweet getting this if the ISP's in iceland
wouldn't charge for abroad downloads. i have 1GB limit, if i
go over that they start to charge shitloads of money. i hate
this so much! :(

it's too expensive for me to download. every other country
doesn't have this fucking dl limit.

it is probably my favourite afx set :)

i can't get enough of this stuff...it actually makes my hair
stand up.

i just love the part where he almost loses it...playing some
real harsh mindblowing stuff and he just keeps adding more
new wicked sounds...and it starts sounding a bit
uncontrolled, although im very certain it just what he
wanted. i wish there'd be a recording of this set in good
quality...

mostly techno...excellent techno in years from
1999-2002...he's playing tech-house lately so thats crap.
but the word is he's among the top 5 techno djs...and he's
slovenian :)

i should be doing some work, but i can't...coz i just can't
stop playing this afx stuff :)

it's real cool coz he doesn't have to present his work on
his gigs, since everyone knows him...so he gets to play
around with all this awesome music. it's different with most
of the other artists though, they always seem to play same
stuff, most often their own, which is not bad, but for
instance when they have a tour, i'd imagine it gets a bit
boring after few nights...
