ok, i want to make this as emphatic as possible: i enjoy
this thing more than anything else i do, or ever have,
posessed. it's beautifully designed, beautifully
implemented, beautifully everything. it's not a fashion
thing -- it's just great to have so much beautiful music on
a beautiful machine beautifully available to you all the
beautiful time. it doesn't make me happy when i'm sad, but
it lets you soundtrack your life to maximum poignancy. i've
had it since last october (i.e., 9 months or so) and i've
dropped it several times. nothing, absolutely nothing
happened to it except a few surface nicks. battery life is
still great, and i use it ALL the time. i don't care about
how much other players cost. it was worth every penny i
paid, and that's all i care about.

i bought a creative zen xtra 60gb and all i can say is -
don't go near them. they're right fucks.. unless you enjoy
taking it apart every few days and fixing the headphone
socket and reassembling it eventually breaking the fucking
thing :S

sorry to hear that redrum. A PC friend of mine was telling
my girldfriend how the iPods are all hype and the Creative
ones are far superior. It took me a while to convince her
that that was crap, but I'll never convince him. He loves
tinkering about with his gigantic pile components (aka his
computer) so obviously he wouldn't like the iPod. It just
works, i.e. it wouldn't be any fun for him if he couldn't
take it apart every now and again.
