Do you realize? by the Flaming Lips. First time I heard it
was when they opened at the Beck show I went to. Quite
moving.

in light of some posts made after me, i realize that i
forgot to mention bjork, which at times (never the first
listen) has really got to me.

what i want to know is, what music has made you vomit?

i once ate a 1/4 oz of shrooms, and drank a sixer and smoked
a bunch of pot and was lounging on the couch when that blind
melon video with the chubby girl in the bee suit came on and
it woke me up and i banged my shin on the table as i ran to
the bathroom to puke. and some puke even came out of my
nose.

i also puked once while listening to the ORB's album Pomme
Fritz on the down side of a long LSD trip. the voices felt
like they were coming from my throat and the sensation made
me puke.

"Ruby-Ha" by Seefeel made me cry first time, ever ever since
it makes me feel really strange (but in an appealing way).
All Seefeel stuff makes me feel things unlike any other
music (without chemical enhancements of any kind), which is
one of the reasons why Seefeel is so good.

I would have cried when I first heard "Your Ghost" by
kristin Hersh, but I had to hold it back cos I wasn't alone
at the time :) And holding it back made it that little bit
more poignant.

And "Spem In Alium", by Thomas Tallis (virtually any
above-average performace thereof) is the only peice of music
that makes me cry every single time I hear it.

I hardly ever cry, but yes, some music to me is so damn good
that it makes me cry.

I almost vomited when I heard some punk/asshole rock group
on mtv, I have no idea their name, but it was auditory
sludge.

Yeah. Mainly classical stuff that's made me burble. Eno's
Apollo album made me once too.

Albums:

Almost all of Marvin Gaye's 'What's going on'
All of Nick Drake's 'Pink Moon'

Songs:

Jackie Wilson - Your love keeps taking me higher (sheer
perfection in three minutes)
Talk Talk - New grass, or Runeii (from Laughing Stock, a
masterpiece)
Talk Talk - Desire, or I believe in you (from Spirit of
Eden, another masterpiece)
Scott Walker - It's raining today, or You're on your own
again (just buy his first four solo albums, I promise you'll
weep at some point or other)
Orbital - Belfast (just good memories)

I'm a pussy.

can't say i've ever cried but the first time i heard Boards
of Canada's Forest Moon i must have been pretty close to it.
how the melody evolves and reaches the climax at about 3:50
is just brilliant and beautiful.

Ok, I found out what song recently made me puke.
"Smile Empty Soul - silhouettes"
Pure sludge, trite subject. Slight vocoder on bad vocals. I
hate my self for flipping to mtv2 in the first place, but
this is just awful.
Pure hell.

Actually giving this a bit of thought, it's a long time
since a song has produced a rush of emotion in me upon first
listen.

I miss that feeling :(
