i figured you'd like the T.R., tolstoyed! yea, i'm not as
familiar w/ the pixies as i probably should be, but i figure
the reunion will be shortlived so i should see them while i
can.

alberto, when xammax said "wicked song" earlier he was
referring to your request (correct me if i'm wrong)

Damn, PC just hung...

Trav: New TLS is very rocky/punky. Lots of guitars and
vocals. Very gritty sort of feel to it. Completely different
to their old stuff. There are audio samples on warp if you
want to check it after the show.

the sawII track was fairly short, you're probably hearing
coil which is just finishing... it's over 7 minutes long.
"dismal orb"

don't worry about missing your song, there will be other
chances to make requests in a few months.. and you heard
your(?!) Ae request

here's a song from the excellent natural born killers
soundtrack.. it might have originally appeared on 'passion'
so i'm sure funkmaster would approve.
Peter Gabriel f/ Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan - Taboo

hey titsworth. i have another request. this is a track by
friend of mine who is a really good techno producer
(currently in amsterdam studying recording engineering),
although he does other styles sometimes such as hiphop,
house and "IDM". this song is one of his humor songs, it's
called 'get some girl tonight' and he does the vocals
himself. well, i should send that one to you and a couple of
others you might like and play on your show.

That PJ Harvey was good. I'm just getting into her after
someone here recommended "The Dancer" (fantastic track)...
can you recommend anything similar by her?

ceri i know but what do YOU think of it, or haven't you
lived with it long enough to say?

btw i can never get sound samples to work on the warp site.
maybe i need to upgrade my browser, but i'll click on
"AUDIO" and nothing happens--it doesn't even appear to be a
link

damn 12" instrumental was short

little bit of censoring action going on

i know i asked this last week, but without dobbin posting i
don't have a definitive answer.... is everything sounding
ok? full stereo, or at least both left and right channels
mixed down to mono? no left speaker only?

I've still not got my copy (I included it as part of a large
order and it's holding everything else up- roll on 17th of
may...), so I've been listening to the samples on warp
(individual tracks on the album- not just "Faux", the one
playing on the frontpage, that's one of the weaker, albeit
most like Warp's normal output, tracks.

Best analogy I can make is if Prodigy are electro with punk
leanings, then this is punk with electro leanings. It's a
bit Joy Division, A bit Sham 69 (not really, but something
about it reminds me of them), a bit Henry Rollins, a bit
Primal Scream. Really good new direction, nice to see TLS to
take a chance on something like this and good for warp to
put it out.

I can see my mates who are into rock really liking this.
Standout tracks are: Sex Beat; Punches and Knives; and
Kamanda's Response. Not wanting to hype it up too much (a
lot of people who are only into electronica/ die hard fans
of TLS' early work probably won't like it), but it's
probably the single release I've been looking forwards to
actually getting my copy of most this year (aside from the
new BoC album). I've been listening to the whole album at
least once a day since it has been up.

sounds good to me...but it sounded alright the last time
(when dobbin was complaining) as well...

I wish I could've been there tonight, and every damn week.
I LOVE these radio shows and last semester when you did em,
I loved em.
Now this semesters shows were at such a bad time for me to
get home to listen, I am at work. I hope you do another set
of shows really soon, maybe on sunday mornings or
latenights...

Cheers titsworth
