No thanks.

I'm 5'9" and 145lbs. Not bad really. I workout regularly
lifting weights, so I expect to hit 150lbs at some point in
the future when my muscles grow more.

heh.. . i love when people say things like "I eat lots and
dont gain any weight" I used to say that but realistically I
didnt eat lots.. . its just you thinking you did. ..

gaining weight is super fucking simple.. . eat more than you
expend.. . plain and simple.. . even people that are real
active can still put on weight if they eat more than they
expend.. . but the easiest way is to sit on your ass and pig
out.. . and if possible just lie in bed for days at a time.
..

if your serious about putting on weight do a google search
for a calorie calculator or whatever.. . actually.. . Ill
find it.. .here.. . give that a whirl.. . but I
tell you eating more isnt as easy as it sounds.. . you have
to eat so much that your allmost never hungry and its easy
to forget your next meal. ..

i'm 21, about 1.69 meters and weigh 58kgs. the reason you
don't have an appetite is probably cause you don't eat that
well at normal times (breakfast, lunch, dinner) if you eat
well 3 times a day, along with fruits in between (i'm quite
fond of apples, tangerines) and don't eat shit in between
(chocolates, crisps, crap etc..) youll get your appetite
back in no time and start gaining weight. smoking doesn't
help either. basically, live healthy and you'll do okay. i
felt like this for a while; it's not neccesarily about
worrying how you look physically, it's more about knowing
that you're not weighing as much as you should do and
basically wanting your body to be as healthy as it can be.

Well mate :) I have exactly the same problem.... i am 1.86
meters tall.... and i weight 65.8 killos.... I have no
idea why, but i can't get myself to eat.... You know...
eating a lot isn't healthy... I did my research.,... And it
is better to eat a little... just satisfy your hunger.. And
you'll be fine... Of course, i definnetly need to somehow
gain a few kilos... But dude... No worries... It will
come... The older you get, the fatter you get...
"usually".... ;)

I can't gain weight - At least fat - Muscle is easy, but
almost everyone does it wrong and over-trains, which undoes
most of the benefits.

If you train with weights you NEVER want to exercise the
same muscle group more than once every 5 days - And that's
talking 2 sets of 8 reps - Both at roughly your max of what
you can do 8 reps with - And you've got to increase that 10%
every time.

If you can't manage the 10% increase it means your body
needs longer to recover - So try 6 days, 7 days, 8 days,
until you get in rhythm with your body.

People who take it to extremes can need up to 5 weeks
between exercises(!).

Then you gotta just make sure you're getting unusually high
protein.

I like exercise like this, maybe a few weeks out of the year
(cos I'm stoned, lazy and obsessive about my music at the
moment), but I'm planning to have a proper go at it soon.

Apart from that, I can't put on fat no matter what I do - I
usually eat 3 meals a day - Always very high in carbs - I
don't think I've gone a day this year without a huge plate
of pasta.

If you're edgy or fidgety you can burn up a lot of energy
just sitting around - I'm always twitching - And the brain
uses more energy than any other organ in the body, so if
you're always thinking I guess it could have an effect on
your metabolism.

your saying some crazy stuff.. . if you wanted fat not
muscle do exactly what you do right now but without any
exercise.. . wahla.. . fat. ..

but tons of fats not exactly necessary.. . also if you
wanted fat not muscle an easy thing to do is drink.. . a few
beers every now and then. ..

as far as weight training goes yeah its easy to over train..
. it shouldnt take that long to recover though man.. . so
long as your feeding yourself well.. . but as has been said
3 meals wont cut it. ..

I don't think there's any reason to gain weight unless it is
affecting your health. Seriously.

other than for purely aesthetic reasons.. . it really
depends.. . if muscular strength is a concern then putting
on weight is going to be paramount to this.. . at least a
little weight.. . or if anyone's planning on going into
hibination or some sort of servival situation where weight
loss may occur having weight to loose in the first place
would be a good idea (;

I don't follow exercise guidlines, really. I'm 5'8",
148lbs. I did gymnastics for 11 years, and you work every
muscle group every day, and there is no way you can tell me
that gymnasts aren't strong. Don't worry about working
muscles every other day, or 5 days even. Try working out
for 4 1/2 hours each day for 6 days a week, you will get
lean and mean, and you will eat like mother fucker. Also,
people, if you want to gain weight, make sure you take in
carbs. It seems the trendy thing to do anymore is not eat
carbohydrates, when they, in fact, help your muscles build
and repair themselves after working out. That's what will
get you muscle. Don't overdo it though; by carbs I mean
breads and pastas, not doughnuts and twinkies.
