Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on on Seattle or Milk It or Very Ape
Can't decide. :D I wouldn't consider in utero their best, in terms for consistency, it'd have to be nevermind or mtv unplugged... but those 3 songs from in utero are gems

there were at least 25 or 30 different songs named, which says a lot about how great they were!
the weirdest fact is that no one picked smells like teen spirit, even tho they're probably best known by that song.

not weird at all.
exactly because it's the most wellknown song by them.

no.
I mean, REALLY no!
the only cd that I ever bought that I'm still kind of embarrassed over, is AiC's "Dirt".

there's something about having to hear the song at junior high dances and then have all the teeny bopper girls dance to it that takes away from from some of its appeal...

when a song is the most wellknown, that does not necessarily mean it's also a very good song.
"teen spirit" is okay, but certainly does not deserve all the credit it got.

well, if you listen to "nevermind", you're hardly going to say "teen spirit" is the best song on there (let alone of all their songs).

i very much agree...i wonder tho who picked this song to be their break through song...they were practically anonymus before that song was put out (at least outside europe).

singles aren't random though, they are picked based on having a more immediate accessiblility than others...
