Fucking hell. That isn't even work, that's barely paid torture. The meat industry is fucking disgusting on so many levels, it's nearly as cruel to the workers as it is to the animals... i'd urge any meat-eater to read "fast food nation" by eric schlosser if they want confirmation. Either that or take a wander through a slaughterhouse. Here's the choice as i see it: fuck your brain up by being a part of an industrial killing machine, or get behind in your payments. Personally, i'd quit and do some serious jobhunting. Maybe the agency will sort you out with something less horrific. You'll probably get a little behind, get maybe a few threatening letters, but you'll find the cash as long as you're working somewhere and putting in the hours. This is not a happy position to be in, but a little debt is better than total sensory / moral punishment from 5am every morning. My two cents, anyway. |
