I dunno if it would work, but it would be worth a shot. It just seems the strings would pull with way too much force than any lego configuration could ever account for. |

'tis a great instrument. making a bass guitar would most likely work as well, you'd just need to maybe make it a bit shorter than the average bass, to lessen the tension a bit. like in the harpsichord, you'd definitely need to use some kind of industrial-strength adhesive on some of the pieces to counteract the string tension. it would be tricky to get the pickups to fit in with the lego, or for a useable bridge to be made out of lego, but if a lego harpsichord is possible, a bass should be.. though you won't get the nice warm resonance of wood when it's made entirely of plastic.. |
