the bro - oh yeah *** this is like a total funkadelic odyssey man. my few criticisms are these: the wah wah guitar went on kinda long, there shouldve been some more freeform just sort of break-off points where the song just jammed. other than that, it's a solid and fun piece of enjoyable music. |

call - un cool constant rambling, the reverb is a bit out of control, almost cheezy but the sound is enjoyable anyway. all the parts coming in and out work well and the pads are especially nice and give it the perfect spooky edge. === saskrotch - church mouse thrift store reminds me of turntablist creativity, but is obviously digitaly constructed, so nice job reviving that feel. the coil-esqe choir w/ volume/repeate enveloping is blissful. saskrotch - spring break holy shit, this is what i'm into, dirty hard and fast. i REALLY wanna hear some of this crunched down, please get in touch ;D === plaidzebra - autumn_sketches i had to grab it due to the title, and wasn't disapointed. good moody shit that makes you fall. ..... a bit loopy, it could use some change ups in sound, but a nice ambient peice at least. i try and keep my ideas like this around two minutes these days ... enough time to come in, set the mood, and get out. === xcean - drills made of insoluble fecees another one i had to hear for the title, but i wish i hadn't. why doesn't it hurt? are these soft pleasure drills? i can only imagine. === manicminer - i like all of your stuff! tasteful sounds and composition. crunch it down, i'm sure it'll still sound great ;D ... i've found the only stuff that doesn't is crap that had no content, changes in sound, etc to begin with. i found the jeff track a bit on the boring side, but i've been treated to textone's minimal techno and l. nystrand's awesome jazz-outs lately so, hard to live up to that stuff . . . . . |

xCEAN - level 12 teething ring *** very mellow, very spacial. nice use of the robotic pips and zips. reminds me almost of somethign youd hear in a planetarium as a little kid. all the sounds felt very compact and tiny (except that bass drum) which i liked. i DID feel at a point that it kind of needed to have an alternate melody come in overtop everythign else going on. maybe an additional layer of rhythm. the extra rhythms around the 4:00 mark are a ncie accent, but i still find it needs a little somethin. all in all, if i were working on this, id call it 80-85% complete. it just needs an extra somethin to really make it whole. but the 80-85% that id call doen, id also call very nice. |

ziggomatic, you didn't _really_ disapoint me ;D ... but i was hoping for more from the title and really, the title is the only impression i have of a track before i hear it, unless i know you personally, so it's all i have to grab for/differentiate by in those few seconds i spend deciding what to hear , he he he also, there is plenty of free software that you can make awesome music with. i would suggest this route over any other. another good rule of thumb is to learn your tools and exploit them to the max . .. . something i never did in my days of pirating ... blah |

rud - breeze **** now this is nice. very palace or papa m. awesome progression. i like the almost beer bottle sounding perc. mmmmmm *closes eyes* ill tell you what id add if i was you.... piano. a nice clean pearly piano, like something john lennon would've used sonically. and just have it mixed back a little in the middle, and do some real dissonant single not kinda stuff playing off the progression. yum. |
