I'd just like to make my mark in the official thread, if you don't mind. The album has amazing nostalgia value. When listening to it, memories of when I first listened to it come flooding back. I knew nothing of them, by the sound of it I thought they were some german group (probably cause it's kind of Kraftwerkish). But no, I was later surprised to find out they were a bunch of british boys. The third WARP artist I discovered, next to Aphex and Jimi Tenor. Listened to it over and over and over it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Just what my musical ears needed at the time. I still listen to it with the same fondness as I did then but for different reasons. Definitly a classic.

me too.
By the way, I think it sounds very much like ae. ae to me has had the same idea/etc through most of their albums.

wonderful album, especially for a debut. bike, basscadet, eggshell, doctrine... just hits, hits, hits. but yeah for me, too, 444 stands out the most as the deserved epic closer. it has such a... "monumental" feel... wee!

it's cool for sure, no sweat, but listening to any of their pre-Tri Repetae material gives me a spooky and naughty feeling, like I'm not supposed to be doing it, you know?
It's like digging up your loving grandfather's grave and sucking the corpse off...
444 and Eggshell are fucking ace, though!

Agreed. I don't listen to Incunabula much, but "444" is perhaps one of AE's all time greatest
