justified my air getting cut off.

i'm growing my hair right now, and when it's long enough ill
probably let my hair make dreadlocks itself by
greasening(sp?)

I love chicks with dreadlocks, I think it's hot as fuck, and
if you wash dreads they DO NOT SMELL. It's a stereotype that
everyone seems to have but I know people who had/have dreads
that wash them and they don't smell at all.

I tried dreads for a short while, but my skin is too
sensitive, so the irritation/itching was more than I could
take (my head was bleeding in certain spots from the
itching), and I had mad dandruff. For the first weeks (a
month for best results) you aren't supposed to wash them so
they can get nice and knotty, so unfortunately they do smell
during this period.

Here's a pic of mine when they were really young, you can
see how they were kind of spreading apart. You'll need dread
wax if you want it to work right, and as you can see from
the pic they need LOTS of attention the first couple of
weeks. You'll need to roll them a lot in your hands (like
play-doh) and backcomb them to get them to knot up.
DreadHead HQ and Knotty Boy have lots of info if you
have other questions.

cheers,

my hair is at the ONE ANNOYING POINT where it's getting in
my eyes, this is usually where I cut it, but I have let it
get longer before

i had this awesome quote in my AIM profile before i had to
reinstall all my software

"this is going to sound weird

but you don't smell like my other friends"

he was talking about my dreads and his friends with dreads
but out of context it was amazing

anyways, the best thing to do for dreads is do it completely
natural, i didn't put anything in my hair so they don't
smell bad. naturally i have really thick curly hair, which
is good for dreads. i made some thick braids and tied them
into knots at the ends, then for about three months i washed
my hair with soap instead of shampoo, and thats it.

they look pretty good if you ask me, they're not all greasy
or anything.

Dreadlocks are crap if they are not looked after. One of my
friends had it done, and they were aweful.
