Cheats are good fun when you just want to blast non stop and
regenerating monsters.

Also i suggest that you try a LAN multiplayer game, it can
be good working together with someone through NIGHTMARE
level !

DoomedPuppy,

The "3d revolution" was brought about because of
3dfx...simple as that.

I cannot stress that enough.

Before, all "rendering" was done by the CPU.

Well, technically quake1 was the first game with a true
z-buffer, making it the 1st real true 3d FPS.

When 3dfx released the GLIDE API, man was it great.

It spawned exponentially until today.

Anyone hear about John Romero, marrying some 18 year old
Romanian chick he met off the internet? He's almost 40, and
although it's gross, he's my hero. She missed out on the big
prize though...

CARMACK.

Anyway Romero made that Daikatana game for Ion Storm that
bombed... he left ID software for that. I read somewhere in
this forum that he makes cell phone games now... right?

Doom 2 was so hard. get to level 20 and it just starts to
get ridiculous.

Wolfenstein 3d: Spear of Destiny was a good game for the old
386!

Zephyr Twin: yeah man blake stone was really cool, it had so
many cool "space" moments.. lots of great shooting action.

yeah, I really liked the sound effects too.. very
spacey/quirky.. and buying health out of the snack machines
with credits was pretty innovative. =p hehe I think I'm
gonna try to find that for download somewhere, since I've
been spending the last 2 days playing doom hardcore.

wait a minute... apparently planet strike was the sequal to
aliens of gold? I always thought planet strike was the first
episode of "Blake Stone" and that "Aliens of Gold" was all 6
episodes... I guess Planet Strike also has 6 episodes. Cool.

haha, well I can't find it for download anywhere.. and I was
actually thinking about buying it.. is that wrong? I just
don't know if it's okay to pay for a game that uses
the wolf3d engine, but oh how I long to finally give Pyrus
Goldmember (or whatever his name was) what he's got coming!
