btw, you have a really funny grading system in states... over here we use marks from 1-5 untill university and 1-10 at university - which is also pretty stupid...if you get anything between 1-5 you dont pass, must be six or better, what is bad about it is that not only you get to know you didnt pass but you also get to know that you'll have to study 100 % more if you get an 2 or even 1 heh |

it's on the fucking oil and gas industry in the former Soviet Union man... seriously, I cannot imagine anything more boring... and it's really fun when you're doing research on countries whose names you can't even pronounce!! :) |

in Newfoundland we get percentage marks like normal... so if an A is 80% and higher... they uesd to round up and down, so if you got a 83 they would round it to 85, and 82 would go down to 80... but now we get what we get... |

that's a pretty unprecise rounding scheme they had goin overthere... it seems to make more sense to only round up a few points to a higher grade, but rounding down is harsh =/ |

and because I have it done for school, and my supervisor has already completed my evaluation, I find it extremely hard to do more work on it for my employer... only one more week to go, and after working on this shit for almost 3 months, I'm so fet up and just don't want to do anything else with it... by the way, the 150 pages includes the cover pages, appendices and stuff... but the body of the report is still 100 pages or so... still pretty big... the biggest report I've ever done! |

yeah, well you'd never know if your mark was rounded up or down, cause all you'd get is the 80, 75, or whatever... now, like I said, they just give you the exact mark you earned... and it kind of sucked last semester cause with the rounding, basicall all my marks would've gone up I think! :) |

you should get what you deserve in my opinion... all this rounding, and grading on a curve, is stupid... if I earn an 86, I want an 86, not an 85... and the curve grading, well it's nice if your mark goes up... but it's still stupid... you should get what you get... like last semester I think I got a 69 in economics... with the rounding it would've been a 70, but I earned and deserved my 69, cause I didn't do shit in the course! :) |
