when it comes to different styles of ambient: may be.

there are no tracktitles on the booklet ; how can u guys
know the names of the track ? i mean, i know it's written in
the discog, but where does those titles come from ?

anyway i'm listening to "rhubarb" right now and it's
beautiful

It all depends on what you are currently listening to a lot
as to what the best album is. Everyone likes something else.

I haven't heard this one (never been as much into Aphex as
much as some others), but I can't get into SAW I. Is that
one of those albums where you "had to be there" and the
influence would be lost on someone just hearing it now, or
have I just not listened enough?

beautiful album - really captures the soul of rdj and is a
demonstration of his musical ability and diversity.. stone
in focus could make me cry.

People saying it's boring is funny. When this album cam eout
everything made by aphex was called ambient. There was no
idm. This was a really unique album for the time. still is.

Of course it is his best album. As it stands now, in 50
years, this is the one he'll be remembered for.

We are long overdue a third volume. Question is, is Aphex
brave enough to do it?

Personally, I think it beats even Eno's best work. The
comparison with 76:14 is utterly disingenuous. As much as I
like 76:14, it is just a well-crafted, commercially-oriented
tribute to Vangelis and The Orb, and cannot compare to this
beguiling and totally original work. Lesser artists like
Robert Rich should not even be mentioned in the same
paragraph.

well... I didnt feel like listening to this one in the last
days... but it is something I have to do if I want to
complete my trip throughout all my aphex discography

I am usually lazy to start with it, but once I start I
assure you I listen to the whole album all the way through
cd1+cd2

I just started so this will take me a few hours

I remember I had to re-buy this one cos cd2 broke in my
first copy... now I have two of them but with just one cd2

about the music: glorious

its a shame really that stone in focus isnt here

I also dont understand hy some of the us versions dont have
one of the tracks in here.

so the vinyl with stone in focus has 25 tracks
this regular release has 24 and the american version only
has 23

why these things happen?
