what you gonna play? i think theyre great. fordtrax still
sounds fantastic.

i love their first 2 singles,

'oochy koochy fuck you baby yeah yeah'

and

'chikki chikki ahh ahh'

ridiculous names or what?

just the AFX remix of "normal", i don't own any baby ford
albums yet. i'm bidding on 'bford 9' though.

the only other thing of theirs i've heard is the track on
ATP 3.0

pretty ridiculous names indeed! if slsk worked for me on
campus i'd check some more tracks out.. but i'll have to
depend on ebay for now :)

they owe a lot to 'the chart show', a program that used to
be on terrestrial tv around that time that only used to play
videos. they commissioned a video especially for their 1st
track so they could play their tune! it went top 60 so it
did ok, as did the follow up.

have you heard their version of children of the revolution?
he even sounds like marc bolan, its creepy. and its
definately him singing, its not sampled.

their 2nd album is pretty good, it had beach bump on it,
great track. and a couple of other classixxx. nice of
allmusic to not even bother to mention fordtrax at all.

the "normal" release on rephlex is a bit confusing so far as
track names go.

the original mix is a remix of "crashing" from fordtrax and
the aphex twin remix is a remix of "flowers" also from
fordtrax

AMG can be very incomplete when it comes to electronica
unfortunately

issue..

yeah it does. rhythm king was quite a successfull label at
the time, s-express and the beatmasters were also signed to
it.
