When are ravers going to die out like the hippies did? That's what I'm wondering.

i thought ravers were already dying out? The club scene is anyway, i read some article on it. Clubbing magazine sales are pitiful, cream in liverpool is closing [or closed, i forget], loads of major venus are closing or reducing the nights. The people who used to go are growing up now, getting married and shit. The younger generation is more into the 'the' bands [strokes, coral etc]. On the flip side, i think drum and bass is getting a lot more popular again. I love drum and bass personally.

i read some article too. it said that ravers were consolidating their strength readying themselves for an attack on the bee population - they'll be strangling them with their brightly coloured beads and holding the bee's abdomen to their genitailia so they can be stung for an unrivaled high

I don't know why you would expect people not to believe it, especially in an age where people will try anything new to get fucked up. i took the little joke "e-by-gum" to mean exactly that, but unless this is some idiom in Brittish culture, then that is not a very funny joke...

no, it's more the fact that early on in the thread it actually is revealed it's a joke and people just don't read.
