I dont know! they could show it earlier, but they must think
having it shown after xmas is a good idea!

Hey this poster has a little riddle on it!

Alive without breath; as cold as death; never thirsting,
ever drinking; clad in mail, never clinking

i really really enjoyed fellowship, and the two towers, and
i fully plan on seeing rotk on opening night... but,
serriously, the overly dramatic score is very iritating to
me. it's like every fucking 15 minutes jw tries to squeze a
climactic buildup into the music. it's pretty distracting
from the film really.

it's like they were afraid to let the depth of the story
itself drive the film on it's own. they had to really force
the emotion down your throat with an overly dramatic score.
like they're underestimating the audience.

QUICK! You have about 10 days before the extended dvd of The
Two Towers is released!!

quickly, watch "The Fellowship of the Ring" and then you'll
have exactly one month to watch "The Two Towers"!!!

HURRY MAN, HURRY!!!!

the movies really aren't separate entities, in much the same
way the original books weren't. you should see the first two
before you see the third (and in the correct order).

i'm actually kinda surprised that there aren't more purists
on this message board with huge LotR gripes considering all
the negativism toward the plot and story line of the Matrix
series.

of course, LotR is a much much better movie trilogy, even
considering the liberties the film makers have taken with
the story.

is it that not many of you have read the book?

or is it that the serious LotR dorks don't listen to
electronic music?

hmm...
just surprises me that's all.

well, in my group of friends, we're all huge fans of fantasy
and we love the lotr movies, though i'm the only one that's
actually read the book. i'm also the only one that likes
electronic music. though i did play icct hedral during a D&D
session once, and they were all freaked.

did that answer anything? no, i suppose not, but it's a
great story!

hahHAHAHA! me too.
my friend wants to live in that world. she is freaking
obsessed. when the third one comes out she is going to be
very sad that its the end.
i say they should keep making lotr movies, just drag it on
and on.

totally,
it would have been sweet if they made a movie for each of
the six books rather than the 3 volumes of LotR. of course
it was a battle with the studio just to get 3 movies instead
of 1.

Something strange today on play.com
I ordered the collector's boxset of TTT, and it should be
released on the 18th of november, however I looked today at
the status and it turned out that my boxset was already
posted on the 6th of november =)
This sounds goodie goody to me.

someone in this thread asked why the dorks arent tearing
this to shreds for changing things and WERE tearing apart
the matrix.

to me, it isnt about changing things. its about artistic
choices that need to be made.

i think peter jackson has made wise decisions, if you disect
the stories and the amount of time (already pushing it) they
have to complete each book. certain things have been taken
very well care of, as far as maintaining utmost consistancy
and clarity of vision in both the theatrical and extended
releases.

i think it just comes down to: the LOTR series already had
AMAZING writing on its side... the matrix never had that
advantage.

there's no possible way this movie can suck... the other two
ruled, and all three were basically filmed together, so... I
think it's fair to say already, and this movie will be the
best ever made!! :)
