It'd be much easier if I hated her, but I still love her,
and we came to a mutual agreement.

Who invented love? I do hate *them*.

"i hate women" is not any less worse than "i hate jews" or
"i hate black people"... for example... ' _ '

some people think it and not much can be done against that,
it would be brainwashing; but what i hate is when they try
to make generalizations and/or fictious "facts" disgrading
women (or any other hated "group") to support their
opinions.

having a girlfriend is over-rated & can make you quite
miserable, if its just to avoid being single.

on the other hand, meeting someone who is right for you can
make things in your life feel fulfilled and content.

it's strange how much just one person can change your whole
outlook.

well, i dont know your situation, but ill say this...

girls can smell desperation a mile away, and it scares em of
quicker than if you were a convicted rapist.

seriously.

We broke up because she moved to London, and we're quite
different people. So whilst it was fine until then, almost
the entire relationship revolved around us talking about
things we disagreed on.
So we decided to end it before we started annoying each
other.

i gotta agree with telica.

having frustrations is normal and every guy has/has had it
from time to time.

on the other hand, this is kind of embarassing. i mean...
what do you want? pity sex? that's fricken pathetic.

thank about it once.

yeah i kinda figured.

i'm a virgin too but i sure as hell ain't desperate. i feel
being desperate is irrational and it would just get me into
unnecessary trouble. i've learned it's just best to chill
and worry about more important things in life.

Sure, some of them are capricious, manipulative airheads,
but if you tar them all with that brush you lose your right
to tell militant feminists who say you're "oppresive
rapist scum" to take a running jump.

I think part of the problem is that people tend to be very
easy going on their own sex, but critical of the other- most
guys don't care one jot if their mate cheats on a girl and
would never consider telling the girl what was going on.
When the situation is reversed, the guy will blame their
cheating gf's mates for not telling them.

Personally, I tend to hang around with guys more, but that's
only because more blokes I know are into videogames or
"proper" music. I do have several friends who are girls who
are a bit more tomboyish and like the same things as me. I
have no problem with women generally.

pachi, you da man.

it's much better to wait and have sex with someone you
_actually_like_ than just doing it for the sake of getting
it over with.

Sex with someone you care about is far better anyway.
Monoid, the real challenge is finding someone you care about
enough to _want_ to 'lose' your virginity to. Look at it
that way.

want one... though they DO smell nice.

They're indifferent to me too, though. :_-(

People are people are people... women can be nice or evil
the same as men can. It's easy to go through periods hating
all women cos you've had bad experiences (or no experiences)
but they pass eventually. But opecks is right, they DO smell
nice.

so many of the xltronic guys seem disillusioned with the
female of the species. You all seem like genuine, ace guys,
so it seems odd you're all single and mopey.

Are you sure you aren't all going after the wrong kind of
women?
Geek girls are definitely the answer, me thinks.

I HAVE been disillusioned with the opposite sex, but finding
a cool girlie makes you forget all the moping you did
before... and i'm loathed to generalise but art girls are
kewlest :D

Straight men think women are evil, when it comes to
relationships. Straight women think men are evil, when it
comes to relationships.
Very few people think the only reason they think this is
because they're straight and thus the same sex aren't
relationship material at all, and thus void from judgement.

P.S. Nobody is evil.

In order to be socially accepted and get laid, a girl does
not need to make any significant effort. They simply make
themselves look as desirable as possible, and they're set. A
girl could be a complete loser, yet still be socially
successful.

A man, on the other hand, must work hard to be accepted and
to get laid. They need to show potential, financial success,
and convince the girl they're "worthy". If a guy is a
complete loser, he will not be socially successful.

Girls have it easier.

But what does this have to do with woman-hating? It's the
same principal as poor people hating rich heirs. The rich
heirs did nothing to get to where they are, yet they're
arrogant and believe they are superior. Women did nothing to
be socially accepted and get laid, and when they act the
same as the heirs, the inevitable result is the same.

Life is not fair. And girls have it easier.

Troof.

Yep, I'm of pretty much the same opinion as you at the
moment. I don't particularly want a girlfriend right now,
I'm not bothered either way. If Ms. Right comes along, I
won't say no, but as Tibbar pointed out, going out with
someone just to not be single is pretty pointless.

And Monoid, don't just have sex with the first girl who'll
have you, wait till it's someone you care about.
