sake is more of a wine than a liquor i think, pretty weak in
the proof... but, if you're just lookin' to get wasted jose
quervo will do that just fine.

sake is pretty good. makes for a nice after meal palatte
cleanser, but as far as just getting drunk off sake is
concerned... well, i ran out of things to say...

ya jus ease to the step,
jus flip it, stick it an' c-ya latta, bye!

HIRAGANA CHART.
(hiragana are phonetic characters used for japanese words...
though of course many are written with kanji, you won't go
far with only hiragana but well...)

KATAKANA CHART.
(katakana are the characters used for the transcription of
non-japanese words adapted, and often if you see the word in
katakana and know the pronounciation, you can guess what it
means, like "sutereo" for example meaning "stereo"...
"gurepu" = "grape"... sometimes it's less obvious, like
"terebi gemu" = "video games" (television games), or "pan" =
"bread"... but well.)

APHEX TWIN (in katakana, so):
- eifekkusu tsuin : )

.....ok, i'm off to bed now
'night! ^^;

apparently sake is used to season sushi rice. i only use
salt, sugar, & rice vinegar when i season my rice for sushi
though.

awwwwww samuri sammy!

i've had SAKE before, it was pretty hardcore as i recall and
i could barely finish it. i think the one i had was
blue....and it was chilled. i understand some SAKE is served
room temp like red wine.

anyway that stuff could knock YOU out if you're not
careful....ehehhehe

Just about the most useful japanese word is "ganbatte!".

This is a universal form of encouragement, and can be used
in any situation where you are trying to be positive about
something.

Also nicely illustrates the japanese concept of "gaman suru"
- to persevere, put up with shit etc...

: )

i think also that the usual formula people say before
drinking (like "zazdarovnie" in russian i think... i don't
know how to say it in english!! °_°) is "kanpai!". not
sure about that.
in french it's "tchin tchin!", which you'd better not use in
japanese as it is a familiar word for "penis".

also, "mermaid" in japanese is "ningyo" ^^
(not that it has anything to do with drinking...)

I read somewhere Boku Mo Wakaran means something like "I
dont know either" or "I dont understand it either", is that
right?

I've never tried Sake, I do have a very nice bottle of
absinthe sitting on my desk at home though, thats some crazy
stuff!
