I'm not sure why people think European unity = European
prosperity.

I'm not sure that the EU does a whole lot of good, i mean
solidarity, unity, yeah, but what goal are we heading for?
EU = FTAA in many, many respects, where the power-wielding
countries liberalise trade and basically fuck the poorer
countries (be they latin america or eastern europe). Both
head towards a pretty horrible future, and while i would
like to see someone stand up the the US, i'm not sure any
real opposition would come from a system that shares so many
beliefs.

apparently, or so i read the other day, french people dont
understand why swedes dont want the euro. most of the swedes
DO, though. and i suppose theres a reason for it. a reason i
have no idea of, cause i have know nothing about politics.

that came out odd. "most of the swedes DO, though" as in,
most swedish people know why they don't wanna change
currency and so on.

Politics aside, from a purely selfish point of view i
TOTALLY couldn't be arsed changing over. I'd get well
confused.
