i cant rate his films in any kinda of sequence, its too hard... id sit here for an hour arranging and re-arranging them. id start going "yeah, but dude what about THAT scene?!?" and scrambling them up again.

i can't believe anyone who watches only half of a movie he knows is well-liked and well-respected would have the balls to complain about it and expect to be taken seriously

I don't really think it's that hard to decipher what goes on in this movie... first, you get what happened after what happens when they get a hold of the blue box(the memory of.. can't remember her name). What happens is that when they get the blue box(memory) and unlock it with the key, you get to see what happened before what has happened. The problem with it in this movie, is that Lynch has done something I've thought about many times; he's made "the past" dependent on "the future" ..that is, normally when films "look back" in time, everything is at is were "back then".. in the real world, you can't go back in time, and so, lynch included the happenings that happened later than "before" in "before".

I couldn't care less if someone doesn't like it. It's annoying when people who don't get what the film is and what it's trying to do just dismiss it as 'shit', though.
