the fbi was investigating

and a brown out is a very short black out (less than a
minute)

There are thousands of people standing shoulder to shoulder
in 90 degree heat right now at the Hudson River Ferry docks,
just to evacuate.

i was in a newsagents in the centre of toronto at the time
reading an article about Radiohead when
zzzzzzzzzzyyyyyyyyyyyyum!
Had to walk 9 miles in the heat. Toronto was out of power
for more than 12 hours. Luckily my flight back was the day
after.
The wonderful Air Canada had only last week laid off a huge
percentage of their staff so checking in took an age.

Air Canada is super fucked. They lost about $587 million
last quarter.

There are questions whether the Canadian government will
pick them up or not, but it seems unlikely at this point.

Their the Canadian version of United Airlines, I hope they
both burn in hell.

-------------------
btw: I don't like how news reports have to mention that car
crashes/people falling down/blackouts are NOT TERRORIST
RELATED. jeebus. we're not supposed to be scared, but they
need to make sure we ALWAYS KNOW THAT TERRORIST DIDN'T MAKE
THE STOCK MARKET GO DOWN.......

I hate the news.

yeah whys your whole damn country so freaked out my
terrorists? its all a cover for other bullshit obviously.. .
but even joe average shouldnt fear terrorism.. . he's more
likely to be killed walking down the block to get a paper
(to read about terrorists one might suspect) than to
actually befall some of their homemade means of getting
people to pay attention. ..

hey man, the only thing we can do hear is turn off the TV.

if they keep making money, they'll keep selling it.

jus tlike tabloids, everyone hates them, but if everyone
really hated them, they wouldn't buy them, and they would
have gone out of business.

Sensationalism........jeezus, I hate it so much.

i hear that, I won't watch the news for one second.

I can barely watch television at all, though I do enjoy
baseball.
