i just read 'nookie' was produced by the neptunes! i really
thought it had guitars in it though, instead of that paino
like thingy they always do. but maybe that's just me..

I think they should be highly commended for such moving
lyrics as "Give me somthin' to break!!!!" (repeat ad
nauseum). I mean, let's break it down into it's fine
components:
"Give me..." Here Fred Durst portrays a great need. A void
that simply MUST be filled. "...Something..." He is so
desparate for an obect to fill he needs. I think this comes
through quite nicely, especially with his fine, throaty
delivery. Definitely accentuates the feelings he conveys.
"...to break" Here we see that his emotional needs can
inadvertantly lash out and destroy what it is he loves.
Beware!
Fuck Limp Dilznik.

the neptunes did a REMIX of the song (they also did one of n
2 gether now f/ method man, and did a new track with fred
durst for the aborted limp bizkit album from earlier this
year).

the nookie remix is one of the worst things the neptunes
have ever done, and they've done some really bad tracks with
people.

new N*E*R*D and Neptunes album details on my f2k site
btw

fred durst is and will always be the dumbest fuck in the
history of music and popular culture.. I have yet to see him
string a full sentence together.. or one that was not very
basic that followed many seconds of silence/thought

he sucks.. he needs to stop rapping..

that's a pretty bold statement.

i'm sure there have been lots of pretty sucky people
throughout history. i doubt fred durst is the absolute
dumbest.

50 cent could rap circles around fred durst, and 50 cent is
merely above average, not some kind of lyrical genius

offline JAroen from the pineal gland on 2003-08-14 08:40 [#00821540]

haha yeah you are right...

but THE LOOKSS!!!! fred durst looks intellectual compared to
that guy...

and his voice is godawful too

i think 50's voice/style is a lot better than fred's nasally
whiney rap/fake angry metal growl, but they both look really
dumb. at least 50 is somewhat handsome, fred looks like a
pig in a red cap.

FOR FUCKS SAKE!! ok maybe Fred Durst sucks arse, but like so
many other popstars, rapstars, rockstars and fuckstars, he
just took what oppertuneties that pulled up to his
trailerpark and yelled "hey! money this way!" ...fuck...LB's
first release is still one of my favorite albums, so I won't
say Limp Bizket always sucked, but they suck now that's
true. That Fred is a fucking fool when being in the
spotlight has nothing to do with how Limp Bizkit once
actually was a good band....

yeah...

nuff said...

other shit.. i know people here like the album, and that's
fine, but let's not pretend it's something it's not

You're making me want to listen to it again now Junk. I
agree it's by far their best album and I enjoyed it a lot
when it came out (as did most of my mates). 'Counterfeit',
'Stuck', 'Clunk', 'Indigo Flow' - all decent tracks. 'Nobody
Loves Me' was a precursor to the direction Durst decided to
take with his whiney shite, but I remember that track has a
build up which is angry as fuck.I mean, they were obviously
ripping off Korn for the most part but it was good at the
time. Now he's tarnished any props he might have once
garnered with his staggering ego, godawful money seeking
rapping and brainless statements.

"Only Limp Bizkit fans would support a band that IS the
establishement" - some quote, somewhere

Was, aye. That album's nearly 10 years old now, jesus christ
that makes me feel old.

When that came out it was even better than Rage imo, in the
first few months I owned it (bought the import before it
blew up) I was like "fuuu-c-c-ck". Then I learned more about
them, saw their video (Who Then Now), deduced they were
wankers, and their subsequent output happily was shit.

at first i liked the way they approached the guitar
playing.. but it got worse and worse throughout their
career, as they must have ran out of ideas or something.. i
never like that whinny singer though.. i've always disliked
that moany-style nu-metal-vibe singing style..
never liked the drumming really.. sounded like cheesy-assed
disco beats, cause that's what he listened to before joining
the band.. and that bastard was in a calvin klein ad,.. not
a great thing for their image, to appeal the angsty
adolescent wanna-be-counter-culture crowd..
i've allways hated the bass too.. sounds like a fucking
rattling screen door or something.. fieldy's an idiot..

don't get me started on Korn...they did two fantastic albums
and then they did the biggest turn-to-sellout in history...i
downloaded their newest shit, and ended up burning it onto
cd's...so i could burn them literally

I downloaded their new video out of curiosity... it's just
the same really, the guitarist is far less interesting than
Borland though, he's just churning out hackeyend riffs.

And Durst can't direct his own piss to the toilet.
