guess I screwed up the story =(
maybe you should start a new one?
Perhaps not involving any violence at all?

How do you know there was violence? Just because she was
dead.. doesn't mean there was violence.. YOU messed that
up... NOW FIX IT!!!@#@!!@@!##!

well... I felt that the story had a very big feeling of
repressed violence...

sorry... that's just what it felt like, then I explained why
that feeling was there, but twisted it way too far.

Well see my idea was that the grandmother had bone cancer
and couldn't take the suffering anymore so she went in her
bathtub and swallowed a bottle of pills to comit suicide...
then her granddaughter found her.. and her granddaughter
never appreciated her and acted cold and annoyed with her
cause she'd have to take care of her on saturdays and
sundays... (their family had a routine of going to take care
of the grandmother on specific days) then when she found her
dead the amount of guilt emotionally killed her.

ah, well then it was repressive.
But it was no way good/right to twist that nice story the
way I did.
When I write stories, I don't write like I did with this
one... but then I don't write for the messageboard ;)

you sure know the minds of old folks.

A novella is longer than a short story and shorter than a
novel -- usually, 15-20,000 words. It's all a bit hazy, as
there's a bit more to it than that - some short stories can
be 20,000 and not be classed as a novella.

the last shortstory I wrote was actually for school... but
it's in Swedish so it is no use for you.
it was real good though, in certain ways, interesting story
+ it had many levels...
It was based on a true story, but reading the story - it's
not something you're going to realize.

I sometimes write weird 'improvised' stories, when I'm very
tired. They're in french, though...

Here's one.

for me, and I guess it's the same for everybody else, you
write stuff better in your first language, then your 2nd...
but if I translate it from Swedish - English it's just as
good I guess, it's just that it's not the same thing writing
directly into english and when I've done my writing in
Swedish, I really have no need to translate it. Everybody
who reads it are of Swedish origin anyway.
