The_Funkmaster

hey, if titsworth ain't here, who's going to recommend
hip-hop music for me to download that I'll end up never
downloading?!? :)

i don't want to take part in the flamewar between
pro-titsworth and against titworth on this topic, and didn't
read the big 200+ thread about this, but i liked him, he was
an important figure of this messageboard, so yes i support
him!!

*adds name 'uzim' to list*

O_O

i dunno - if he were a mod i think that a lot of people
would be banned for doing things much less serious than he
got banned for - which is causing such a ruckus here

I don't mind Titsworth. I hardly converse with him at all
but he usually knows what he's talking about. This thread
however, rates a 9.8 on the pointless meter.

" but what exactly was the crime? That's what I want to
know... yes, Phob is the guy who runs this site, not a God
by the way, and he can ban people as he pleases... but, if
he doesn't give everyone reasons, then it becomes like a
dictatorship and people may start leaving... "

> i agree with you... though i don't think it will matter a
lot -:- first, there are always hundreds of registered
people here, and they will always be hundreds who stay even
if a dozen left... and most of the members here love
Phobiazero... second (or third), i don't think Phob would
care at all if people left because of this attitude (admit
it, he already said things like this - if you don't like our
attitude, don't criticize us, you don't have your word to
say - just leave!)

yeah, like funkmaster said, I just don’t like the idea
of people being banned without them being told why…
and really, it’d be nice if the circumstances were
discussed in the open. it ruins the feeling of community on
a board when people are silenced for reasons unknown. of
course, we’re not even 100% sure that titties did get
banned.

hell, I don’t even know him, and he did piss me off
with his self righteousness sometimes. phob can ban whoever
he feels like banning for whatever reason he wants. the
board definitely isn’t a democracy, and isn’t
meant to be one but, if the goal is to create a feeling of
community, then I think things should be open. how are
other members supposed to know what is acceptable behavior
if the reasons for a ban are hidden.

titsworth's banning in specific doesn't really affect me at
all. i never really talked with the guy either, it just
sends out a wierd secrecy vibe that tends to sour a board.

that’s just my $0.02, and we are running on an
assumption right now.

:D!

thanks man - i dont see what all the fuss about this is
though - things happen - its an internet messageboard - its
not like he got deported from his country or anything

(yes i know the irony of this post because of when i got
temp banned and got someone to start a thread about it - and
im fully willing to admit that was a bit foolish - as it did
no help.)

In the end it's up to the webman himself, but I think Tits
at least deserves an explanation, and he hasn't gotten one,
and he hasn't hasn't done anything so bad that he had to be
singled out. But it ain't up to me, it's not my board and
it's not a democracy. But from what I know, I'm not a fan of
this decision.

Without him, the board lacks a LOT though and it'll be less
interesting. Sucks for us. Good for the few people that hate
him I guess.

it seemed he hardly ever posted much anymore anyways...

we have all talked about titsworth these days without him
being here... its fair that I post his thoughts on this
matter:
_________________________________
"thanks to those of you showing support, it means a lot to
me. the petition
was really sweet too but unfortunately i don't think it will
do any good.
like the moderators and webmasters, i still don't know why
i'm banned and it
may be a long time before i'm given an explanation. i also
want to say how
disappointed i am in many of you, and in a way i'm grateful
this happened
because it really shows me who my true friends are on this
board. some of
you i expected more understanding and compassion from as
i've never been
anything but nice to you. even when i'm saying someone is
misinformed, and
i've said this to most of my favorite people on this board,
i try to do it
as nicely and respectfully as possible, and only when i'm
confident that i
am correct (when i'm not, i don't act like i am). when my
tone is less
polite than that it's usually because i've been pushed. so
before all my
posts start to miraculously disappear you might want to
reexamine the ones
that got you mad because really i don't mean anyone harm so
long as i'm not
in a position where i have to defend myself against
senseless personal
attacks (of the likes that have been piling up in recent
months). for those
who have realized that, and for those who have reserved
judgment for when
this incident is actually EXPLAINED, i thank you."

should be on a board for people with exceptional taste such

Here is part of an email I got from a friend (who isn't
registered here, but checks the board from time to time):

Tried to look at:
http://xltronic.com/mb/

Get blank screen, with:
"Sorry, in consequence of your previous behaviour, you are
unable to post to
this messageboard"

A bit harsh, as I'm not registered there, and never have
been. So, they
don't like lurkers, eh? Only kidding! :-)

It doesn't matter in the least to me, but I thought you
might like to know,
in case there's some error, and some of your regulars are
getting this
screen! Maybe an attempt to ban someone, but the wrong
number used. I'm on
Freeserve, don't know what IP I'd show up as. Probably
varies from session
to session. Like I said, no need to sort it out for - only
highlighting it
in case it's a mistake that might affect others.

Has anyone considered the possibility that perhaps Titsworth
is suffering as the result of a similair "technical hitch"
and not actually banned? Either way, it's probably best to
wait for Phobs to get back and hopefully at least confirm
that he is meant to be banned, even if he doesn't
want to give the reason(s) why.

it cant be an error, at least its not only that he cannot
acces the MB, cos his account is indeed deleted... he was
member 041... if you go to search members you ll see he is
not there any more... so it doesnt look like an error
