yes and no.... yes because i used to feel like you about aphex no because now i dont.... in fact ive stopped reading as many interviews coz i always end up a bit dissapointed...plus the journalists are often crap.... i love music and i believe after awhile its universal and doesnt belong to the artist...well, only on paper :D music has its own speach |

music is changing not because artists wants music is changing and it is caused by people like you or me simple people Yeah that may be the truth for some artists , look at the Disco era. *shrugs* Artists like Aphex tho are called Innovators for several reasons . One of those reasons is because they never give a fuck what other people think . Look at Picasso , do you think he cared ? What if he had said to himself "No i can't do things this way cause people won't understand it" and never invented Kubism. What if all artist said this ? What a booring world , we need crazy people like that who keeps pushing the boundaries and limits . Otherwise the world would stand still. |

i'd hardly say there's a media storm surrounding aphex... especially not in north america... and the reaction by most people to cubism is probably not that different from most people's reactions to things like ventolin.. |
