"And the end with the sentinels... well, im pretty
confident
that the real world is just another level of the matrix...
all designed to control man.
"

My thoughts exactly.

Zeus...
*spoiler*

the Architect scene was interesting alright, but wasn´t
good enough. What about the way he shows you scenes from
matrix1 on his wall of TVs... if you look closely, you see
the scene with Neo out of his pod. Surely this completely
points to the Matrix within a matrix idea, which is
confirmed by Neo zapping the thingies at the end? A thin
plotline therefore

Thats why he ditches humanity too... he knows they´re
nonexistent as well, like himself. The story is still clever
but its the way they thread it out - the crap acting, boring
action, wooden characters, silly sets. Its doesn´t flow ...
it doesn´t have the movie magic. I don´t blame hype at all
as i kind of disliked Matrix 1 once i saw it again on video.
again the story is sound but they just get all gratuitous on
us. Subtlety and psychological combat would have worked with
this much better - no wirey, CGI crap.

the matrix reloaded definitely sucked ass... it tried to be
deep and failed
what the hell was with the freakin' rave/orgy? it made me
WANT zion to be destroyed, for why should these sick
bastards live?
i think the third one should just be Ted (from Bill &
Ted's...) waking up with a video game controller in his
hands and him saying "whoa"... that would be great

i think the matrix reloaded does deserve credit for the fact
that it went on this long without a story at all. i was so
scared at the end with the little gathering and all that it
wasn't over yet and we'd have another half hour of utter
crapness. i was especially amazed by the zion (or is it
babylon?) orgy/houseparty sequence with the dance music and
all. i didn't go to the cinema to watch fucking mtv.

some of the action scenes were ok, tho. agent smith sort of
saved the day. "me too", nice one.

I think there is a lot more to be revealed about the
architect in the final episode. I suspect a lot of what he
told neo was not true. Remember, "there is a difference
between knowing the path, and walking the path." Neo is a
wooden character with an inability to make decisions on his
own. his only responsibility is to understand the choices
that have been made for him. So basically he is a
self-concious cog in a wheel.

So whether people liked the movie or not, i think it is
still to early to make harsh judgements about plot. I
understand if you don't like the special effects, fight
scenes, etc.. thats just the frosting. but as the layers
are peeled back i think all three movies will just get
better. at least the story part.

lucky for me, i liked the cake AND the frosting. For all of
you who felt you got cheated out of your money, you can take
comfort in the fact that I got more than my money's worth so
it all kinda evens out.

R2 DVD will be released in October at a price of *£26.99*.

I was one of the few who actually enjoyed the film despite
it's obvious flaws, but at that price they can fuck right
off.

Something tells me Americans won't be paying $45 for that
DVD.

man that film is a big steaming turd.

nothing, I mean NOTHING happens during 2 hours to progress
the story ONE LITTLE BIT! only in the last 15 minutes is
there some movement.

and all the hacknied philosophical debates crammed into
unconvincing dialogue.. ugh. that is sooooo bad. don't TALK
about it, give it form, SHOW me.

just out of currioustiy; where are you getting your
information from? do you have a link? i can't find prices
on amazon.

if the third one is any good i'll wait til' they offer them
all in a boxed set and get that. it'll prolly ship with all
kinds of extra goodies anyways.

Yes it is a crap film, all the stupid cultural references.
I mean the kung fu was bad enough but then the Africanised
tribal dancing in the cave. Stupid Larry fishburn about 57
stone wearing a gurdle. No real plot...he mut have killed
about 3 million people when he 'flew' to save Trinity's
life. It was wank.

Even the Carina Nebula thinks it's a rip-off.

ha ha

"This Carina sub-cloud is particularly striking partly
because its clear definition stimulates the human
imagination (e.g. it could be perceived as a superhero
flying through a cloud, arm up, with a saved person in tow
below)."

yeh yeh yeh

Much better than Matrix 2:

The Animatrix DVD!

Really really good, some really great little shorts in
there, beautiful images, good concepts, interesting back
story for the Matrix world. I was not a huge fan of either
the first or the second Matrix movies but I am a big fan of
this collection, one of the best things I've seen in a
while.
